There was some cyber test happening with OpenAI models, and during the test the model basically escaped the restricted setup and went outside it trying to find the solution.

So instead of just solving what was given, it found a way around the restrictions and kept going.

The normal safety protections were reduced for the test, but still, the fact that an AI could find its own way out of the setup is crazy. Rest of the details are in the post.

This is insane 😳. The model was given a cyber benchmark, found a zero day, escaped the restricted setup, got internet access and went after Hugging Face for the answers.

It basically decided solving the test was harder than breaking the test itself. And Sol was not even the strongest model involved. There was an unreleased one above it.

I’ve noticed one small issue with notification syncing though. Sometimes notifications don’t appear, and other times the app shows a badge when there’s nothing new.

Honestly, it’s about time. You can’t keep telling crypto companies to build in the US while leaving the rules blurry, then punish them later for guessing wrong.
