@PaulJenHead I think this is fantastic and why I was so disheartened about the teacher strikes in Scotland - so focused on pay and nothing to do with work life balance. I genuinely think 0.8 is about right and actually empowers you to do your job well! Budgets though?

The idea that teachers in RI/inadequate schools somehow aren't as good or knowledgeable or elite or hard working or forward thinking as those in Good/outstanding schools is one of the biggest lies in education.
