Follow up thought. In my opinion, NeuroAI is just rebranding of cognitive science but geared towards funneling money to neuro depts and labs from the tech sector. If it were me I would just fund depts in cognitive psychology/science more.
Neuroscience is Marrist-Dominated in Sebastian and @jpillowtime s world. Yet I haven’t met anyone in practice breaking up a problem using Marrs framework ever. I can think of max 4 examples where people even tried to historically. Next we will announce lemarckianism is dead.

There is inevitably quite a bit of psychological trauma associated with the loss of one’s motor control in disorders like Parkinson’s and ataxia. I wonder if studies of the cognitive deficits of these disorders underestimate this, mistaking the symptoms for the cause.

Am I the only one who thinks many recent large-scale electrophysiology and imaging studies resemble the fMRI studies I heard plenty of neuroscientists mock a decade ago? I guess we are all on the same page now.
