I’ve been following this race pretty closely, just read this story, and combed through his campaign website again, but I still genuinely do not know what Chris Pappas stands for.

Everything seems very canned, milquetoast & wishy washy.

His entire campaign seems to be playing a prevent defense strategy to fend off a lefty primary opponent & staying below the radar and riding the blue national environment to victory over John Sununu in November.

I want Pappas to win the primary, because I think nominating Karishma Manzur is an unnecessary risk to take in a year when we really can’t afford to be playing any defense — especially in a state where you need to advertise in the pricey Boston media market — but I would just love to know what he is all about beyond hackneyed political buzzwords.

Allow me to be a cringe millennial political nerd for a moment, but to quote the great philosopher Josh Lyman:

“I don't know what we're for, I don't know what we're against, except we seem to be for winning and against somebody else winning.”
