@ingestdata ingest team is goated

[Ingest @ingestdata]

AI systems are getting easier to build. The data layer behind them is not.

Enterprise data is scattered across tools. Every source needs its own pipeline.

We built Ingest to make the data layer autonomous so you get your data when and where you need it.

Not a VC horror story but a @colosseum bullpost

This fund is built different
- perpetually online - even late nights weekends
- ready to give you the best intros
- willing to go to war for you
- shills you relentlessly on the TL
- picks you back up when you are down
- etc.

And acceptance is the most meritocratic out of all the pre-seed funds:
Just prove your elite ability to solve customer pain points in a 6 wk window.

With my time at Flipside coming to a close (3.5 years!), I'm on the lookout for my next big thing. I documented everything I (kinda) know about applied data science and will be studying in public to refresh myself.

Here is me open sourcing 70+ interactive tutorials across econometrics, machine learning, optimization, price modeling, business science, and more.

You can take notes, track your progress all saved in your own browser's local storage (not here to mine your data).

Keep an eye out for videos on crypto specific applications of these concepts - I used sports wagering as more down to earth applied example.

A little life update; "i ain't reading all that" folks, get your digs in 🫡

-----
Five years ago, I went all-in on crypto. Back then, it was about building out a crypto asset scoring product (s/o @theericstone in particular for letting me lay hands on your baby), based on & backstopped by data. Hard numbers, not vapor.

Five years is a long time in crypto. In that span, I’ve met a ton of exceptional people across literally hundreds of projects. You know who you are.

Also in that time: I’ve been fortunate to spend much of the past 18 months in East & Southeast Asia. My professional career began in 2014 with several months in Manila (yes I'm old haha).

Getting back to Asia & witnessing crypto blossom - in Singapore, and Japan, and Indonesia and Taipei and dozens of others - has been truly special. I look forward to my return, whenever it comes.

-----
As for now…

My inner circle knows I’ve had the immense privilege to join forces with @milesfinch and @runkellen: two of the smartest, most dialed people I have ever met.

Over the past five years of fulltime crypto, I’ve had the privilege to wear every hat under the sun (product, marketing, community, client service, global expansion, BD, you name it). With Slant, I get to step into the arena directly. Couldn’t be more jazzed about that.

@slant_ai is getting very, very good at predicting things. And markets. Get ready.(you're not ready)

-----
All that said: five years felt like the right moment to pause and express my gratitude.

And so: thanks to everyone who’s helped me out along the way - most especially, to the Cantina & analyst community that's formed over the past five years. By every conceivable metric: you are the best there is. I am beyond grateful to have met you.

The wind blows wherever it will. Thus far, it’s sent me on one heck of a journey.

I look forward to sharing the next part of that journey - every bit of it - with all of you.

Let’s get after it.

Experiment and Expand

We're officially expanding the team at MonkeDAO!

Over the last couple of years, our focus has been largely on one thing - community. We’ve done this while keeping our team lean and nimble.

The thesis is simple: @MonkeDAO has always been a people-first collective. That’s what brought us together in the first place.

If we ever lose focus on our people, we lose our DNA - and everything else we do risks becoming meaningless. Think of it as a beautiful but empty shell.

Through the establishment of our local chapters (s/o to our amazing ambassadors globally ❤️), we’ve built a strong, holistic framework - a foundation upon which our community continues to grow.

Today, we’re proud that MonkeDAO has achieved meaningful reach globally. That reach now allows us to pursue new goals and initiatives alongside our community, with confidence.

We’re officially entering a new phase of MonkeDAO: to Experiment and Expand.

In this phase, we’ll be trying a ton of things - some that might seem crazy, some that might seem unreachable, and others that might seem “just ok.” But we’ll keep experimenting, throwing things at the wall, and seeing what sticks.🧱

We’ve started this by assembling an amazing team and launching @MonkeFoundry - first batch applications are open, ICYMI!
https://t.co/x0LzgYuiIH

We’re also restructuring @MonkeVentures to future-proof it, ensuring we stay aligned and committed to the future of social capital.

At the same time, we’re partnering with strategic teams that share our mission and vision - like @DrinkFlojo, where MonkeDAO has a stake and is invested in their success. Two more strategic tie-ups are also in the pipeline.🍹

Think of this as the beginning of a truly connected network across Web3 - with MonkeDAO at the center, through direct or indirect portfolio partnerships.

We’re also scouting for operators and builders - founder-adjacent individuals who can help expand the MonkeDAO ecosystem in bold, creative ways. Got an idea aligned with our mission? Reach out. We’d love to chat.

If you’ve read this far and are curious about opportunities within MD. The great news is that - yes, we’re hiring too!👷‍♂️

https://t.co/Ozf0ctnnW8

If you’re passionate about the future of social organizations, and you’re a self-starter and problem-solver, we have two open roles for you:

Monke Validator Lead - Oversee growth of our liquid and native staking initiatives.

Product Manager (Banana Stand) - Own roadmap and execution for Banana Stand, building out the Monke Concierge platform.

We’ve come a long way from a few internet strangers in 2021 to a global community with shared identity and purpose.

The next phase will see MonkeDAO continue to work towards anchoring the ecosystem and reaching beyond Web3 to connect with the unreached.

MonkeDAO is the natural evolution of social organizations. If you believe in the power of people, community, and conviction - this is your home.

Come build with us, directly or indirectly🐵
