Some people would consider assisted pull-ups cheating. I prefer to see it as training wheels to help me progress to body weight reps.
It’s good to use the tools available to you.
One of the fastest ways to change your life is to increase the speed at which you resolve tension.
Return the call. Send the email. Have the conversation. Resolve faster. Watch your life speed up.
Sneaky hard part of this is the wet concrete
That is some slippery stuff so you better believe you need some strong feet to pull off these jumps barefoot 😤😤
Your body knows how to survive. Your job is to teach it how to live.
For most of human history, movement wasn’t optional.
If you wanted food, you moved.
If you wanted water, you moved.
If you wanted shelter, you moved.
If you wanted to protect your family, you moved.
Movement was woven into survival.
Today, survival is delivered to our doorstep.
Food arrives with an app.
Work happens in a chair.
Entertainment fits in our hand.
The body still carries the same survival machinery, but the environment no longer requires us to use it.
That’s why fitness feels unnatural to so many people.
We’re not exercising because survival demands it.
We’re exercising because survival no longer does.
So we must deliberately recreate what nature once provided automatically.
Walk when you don’t have to.
Lift when nothing needs lifting.
Climb when there’s an easier path.
Move because your body was built for it.
Your body already knows how to survive.
The challenge of modern life is teaching it how to live.

Bryan Johnson just discovered fatigue and rebranded it as "biological age..."
Newsflash: Jet lag TEMPORARILY impacts physical performance.
That has NOTHING to do with biological age.
@joe_petro_ Pretty sure I know what you mean. That said, your running is reality, too (unless you're just sitting around imagining it). I'm guessing you continue to run for many good reasons above and beyond just 'escape'. 😉
Now that we know the 2027 World Championships 10,000m qualifying standard is 30:40 for the women and the qualification period is open, we can monitor results.
🇸🇮 Klara Lukan (who broke the European 10K record in 29:51 last month in Laredo, Spain) took the victory this morning at the Great Manchester Run 10K in 30:58.
🇺🇸 Weini Kelati finished second in a road 10K personal best of 31:17. Now ties her for No. 5 on the U.S. all-time women's road 10K list with Keira D'Amato. I believe the performance is worth 1191 points (1177 performance score + 14 points for 2nd place).
Kelati is also racing the Mini 10K next weekend in New York City.
Happy Global Running Day! It all starts with the first step and the first mile. When was your first mile? When was your latest mile? Today, let’s reflect on how far running has brought us, and let’s think about who we can introduce to running.
