🚨NEW #QualitativeResearch by Napier et al:

👟 Are running shoes really made for women? 🏃‍♀️✨

A new qualitative study dives into the running footwear needs of women — and finds that most current shoe designs still don’t match women’s real preferences or biomechanics.

🔍 In focus groups with 21 women runners (ages 20–70) in Vancouver:
💬 Runners prioritised comfort, fit, and injury prevention.
👣 Many wanted a wider toe box, narrower heel, and more cushioning.
🤰 Women shared how shoe needs change during pregnancy, postpartum, and aging, with shifts toward stability and comfort over style.

The findings call for inclusive, evidence-based co-design of women-specific running shoes — made by and for women runners at every life stage.

Been geeking out on the 6 Day race data 🤓👟!

Up to 200K steps/day

111 hrs moving time/33hrs stop time

560+ mi = 11:53/mi moving pace

Slept ~1.5 hrs/day 😵‍💫

If I cut stop time in ½ = +66 mi → 627 mi 🤔. This is 3.6% off the men’s WR (645 mi).

How much can you suffer?

[. @jdpoc]

Canada, we bloody love your low-effort genius. Very, er, English, if I may say so.

“We actually ended up using America’s favourite strategy against them,” said Connor McDavid. “I wanted the trophy, so I took it without asking them what they thought.” ❤️🇨🇦🏆

You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game.

Canada’s flag being raised and the national anthem being sung in Boston. USA. 51st state…😂😂😂 11th province maybe? #4Nations

This might be the biggest Canada-Russia game since ‘72!

I really believe that like everyone else, Wayne Gretzky is entitled to support whomever he wants. And while he's done a ton for Canadian hockey, making him the Honorary Captain for Team Canada for this game is just plain tone deaf.

Sid and I were just a couple of baby faces the last time a game of this magnitude was on the line. Hoping @S_Crosby87 and Team Canada can come up big again tonight! GO 🇨🇦 GO!!! #4Nations

A perfect representation of how tariffs work…

Dear America,

We're not booing your hockey players.

We're not booing your country.

We're not even booing you.

We're booing your asshole of a president who keeps threatening our sovereignty for zero reason. Once he leaves us alone it'll stop.

Hope that clears it up for you.
