(It appears this specific guy has a construction science background instead, but I'm still claiming agriculture influence in there.)

@smeeglewomp @hellspatisserie Yes! American-raised kids of immigrants won’t get their parents’ accent but they often hold onto non-native phrasing and sentence structure.

I interview these folks occasionally, and it’s not until I read the transcript that the difference really jumps out.

@gschaef1109 @stevemagness Yes. A lot of people confuse “little league” (generic name for kid baseball) with the actual Little League World Series program. The team from my state is hours from 65% of the population. All the good metro kids play USSSA.
