@AliceKinsella16 People often say it’s the worst position to finish in. But to my mind it’s way better than 5th and so on. You’ve been awesome, well done.
I like the taper. It’s a dress rehearsal for many of the challenges presented in the first 18 miles.
• Containing nervous/excited energy.
• Not hammering on fresh legs.
• Thinking through, but not overthinking, big decisions.
• Dialing in nutrition.
Great opportunity, imo.
.@nycmarathon training block has officially begun. 20 miles yesterday with miles 14-18 push @ 5:35, 5:35, 5:31, 5:39. Working on that marathon effort on heavy tired legs.
