@SonnyBunch@petersuderman@AlyssaRosenberg Buffy is an easy clear since S1 is mostly monster of the week stuff, doesn’t have the narrative arcs that make other seasons great. But Lost? Too far
@ArtMorelli@KuKhahil@Sam_Vecenie It’s not about parity being “easy,” it’s that parity = more winners = more contemporary players getting into the top 50, by Simmons logic. For ex, if the no-repeat trend continues for 5 more years, are the best players on those teams automatically in the top 50?
@mdotbrown@jaycaspiankang the ring makes him a more important part of NBA history, but it doesn't automatically make him better than all these guys. If OG and KAT flame out and they lose, is Brunson suddenly a worse player?
EXCLUSIVE: Sean Penn, coming off his third Oscar win for 'One Battle After Another,' has been quietly setting up a passion project.
The currently untitled film will follow the early life of a cop who goes on to be caught up in the January 6th Capitol riots. Penn has scripted and will direct the movie, which has five-time Oscar nominated actor Bradley Cooper in talks to star in the lead role. There’s no deal yet.
The film will re-team Penn with 'One Battle After Another' studio Warner Bros, which has acquired it in a negative pickup.

@DrewMcWeeny the only way "the office is offensive" is even remotely true is if you stop watching after 6 episodes. After that, the show's in sweetheart mode
BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls are finalizing the hire of Portland Trail Blazers interim Tiago Splitter as the franchise's new head coach, sources tell ESPN. Splitter succeeds Billy Donovan as the Bulls' coach after stepping into the head job and excelling in Portland last season.
@sunraysunray overtaxed in BKN but his pick and roll freq of 27% (80th percentile) was a big reason ppl believed he could be a no 2 on a contender. Fast forward to this season, that freq dropped to 7% (23rd percentile). Not what you trade 5 firsts for but shooting + def = title
real REAL ball knowers know Bridges was valued at 5 firsts because of the advances in on-ball creation he displayed in Brooklyn, in addition to his defense. That on-ball pop didn't transfer to the Knicks and he wouldn't be worth nearly the same value today
Hate to call this out, but this is an example of not knowing ball. You don't pair Brunson with another star, you pair him with a wing defender who hides his weaknesses and doesn't demand the ball and fits into your long-term cap plans.
