The most impressive AI feature this week is not what OpenAI announced.
It is Gemini with Deep Research.
I asked it to do market research on a topic I am interested in, and it analyzed 345 websites to create an amazing report.
It was so complete and detailed that it would have taken me days to do the same thing on my own.

Gemini Deep Research mode is one of the features we released, that's super useful day to day. Here I just asked for a summary of how our new Gemini Multimodal Live API got received... it crawled the web, built up a great report, with references, and I can just share it via google docs.

uhm 2025 is the last year. AI agents are coming, this is proof.

The report was not perfect (too boring for me) but it cited the resources and it was accurate.

I saw for some people it would scan 300+ websites.

It adds the final result in a Doc file, it looks like a proper research paper.

Perplexity is cooked. But also many humans are cooked.

Imagine not using this tech next year.

Field report...

1. Google's Gemini 2.0 and 1.5 with Deep Research is the best LLM on the market... "deep research" is VERY VERY impressive.

2. The dedicated iOS App is reaching parity with ChatGPT already.

3. ... and $goog is releasing new features and products related to their existing infrastructure, like this video creation tool in Google Docs (see image)

I just paid $20 a month for it... it's awesome.

Consumers and enterprises will have a MASSIVE productivity increase with these tools TODAY.

These integrations feel a bit tighter than what @satyanadella's and Microsoft have done to date with Office (I'm a docs, Notion and CODA user -- haven't used Office in a decade).
