This morning, on the occasion of the 32nd Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi, First Lady Mrs. Jeannette Kagame joins the International Conference on Genocide Prevention, bringing together hundreds of researchers, academics, survivors and friends of Rwanda to remember, reflect, and reaffirm a shared commitment to confronting genocide ideology and hate speech.

This evening, President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame joined thousands of Rwandan youth for the annual Walk to Remember and Night Vigil at BK Arena, as part of the #Kwibuka32 remembrance activities, where young Rwandans stand together to uphold the memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
On the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda, we mourn the victims & pay tribute to the survivors.
We must learn from past failures & protect the living — by rejecting hatred, inflammatory rhetoric & incitement to violence.

This afternoon, at @Imbuto Foundation offices, First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame received @ozonnia, outgoing Resident Coordinator of @UNRwanda, who paid a farewell courtesy visit.
The meeting underscored the strong partnership between Imbuto Foundation and the United Nations, reaffirming and renewing a shared commitment to advancing development initiatives, under One UN and in alignment with NST2.
Dr. Ojielo has served as UN Resident Coordinator in Rwanda since January 2023.
It is in this context that Rwanda’s Ambassador to the United States and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Mathilde Mukantabana, was received as she attended the address delivered by President Trump to the American people on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
In his remarks, the President outlined the nation’s key priorities and the major initiatives his administration plans to implement in the year ahead.
Earlier today, First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame received a delegation led by Princess @MarieChantalUK founding member of @UNRefugeeAgency’s ‘Building Better Futures’, a campaign advancing refugee girls and women’s education and empowerment, alongside @RefugeesRwanda CR in Rwanda, at @Imbuto Foundation offices.
Discussions highlighted the Foundation’s holistic approach to expanding access to quality services and information in health, education, and youth talent development.
