This is Old Orchard Road at the Eden’s Expressway in Skokie, Illinois. Project taking forever with most days little to no work going. We need less projects, quicker projects, and more accountability. Black Chicagoans are dying in the streets by the dozens every month in gang violence, drive-bys, and retaliation.

That's the real emergency crushing families in Roseland, Englewood, Austin, and beyond. Not niche identity reports. Your city recorded historic low homicides in 2025 after the pandemic peak, but shootings and killings are still far too high in 2026 .. and residents in the hardest-hit neighborhoods see the same failed "root causes" approach while basic safety collapses.

Focus on clearing cases, getting guns off the street, prosecuting repeat violent offenders, and backing the police instead of more equity task forces.

Chicago doesn't need more press releases on deviants belonging. It needs fewer bodies in the morgue.

Another Pritzker budget, another plethora of tax increases.

Pritzker’s eight new tax increases will take another $800 million from Illinois workers. This brings JB’s total tax and fee increases to 65, amounting to $8.5 billion annually, leaving Illinois residents paying the highest taxes and fees in the country.

Effective state and local tax rates totaled nearly 17% for a median Illinois household last year, compared to the national average of just 11.02%. Unbelievably, that is even higher than No. 2-ranked New York at 14.95%. Meanwhile, Illinois property taxes have increased by $11 billion, or 33%.

Illinois’ economy has performed so poorly that nearly all revenue growth used to fund the state’s ever-expanding government has come from tax increases rather than economic growth. In fact, since Pritzker took office, almost all employment growth has been in government jobs.

Illinois residents—particularly middle- and upper-income earners—are voting with their feet. Since Pritzker took office, Illinois has continued to lose residents, while the state’s population decline has been offset by a surge in migrant arrivals, which some estimates place at more than 500,000 people. Surveys also show that roughly half of remaining residents say they would leave Illinois if they had the means to do so.

🇺🇸 FBI SWAT just shot and killed a bank robbery suspect after a standoff in Chicago's West Garfield Park.

The suspect, 25-year-old Abdulhafedh Abdulhafedh, came up through the sunroof and opened fire. Agents returned fire and killed him on the spot.

NEW: Here is the official ballot Chicago Teachers Union members will use May 20-21 to vote on whether to hike dues by up to $800 per member, giving union leadership an additional $8.5M for political spending.

Union leadership has stated that the No. 1 reason for this dues hike proposal is to fund Chicago school board candidates in November. Even though the union’s own bylaws state: “our dues are not used for political purposes.”

This kind of double-speak is one reason members are concerned about the second vote on this ballot: an attempt to stop members from holding union leadership accountable.

The proposed amendment to the union constitution tries to place limits on when members may bring a lawsuit against the union for violating members’ rights.

Iran's regime hanged the dead body of this woman for the crowd to cheer and praise Allah. She died of a heart attack, but "the show had to go on."

Her name is Zahra Esmaili.

She was sentenced to death after her Muslim husband, a member of the Ayatollahs' ministry of intelligence, was found dead. After her arrest, she was held in one of Iran's notorious prisons, where she was tortured mentally and physically until she gave a forced confession. She received the death penalty and was to be hanged before the crowd. After seeing 16 people hanged before her, she had a heart attack and died. They didn’t provide her medical treatment and still hanged her lifeless body for the crowd to cheer.

The Western media never reported this case, as with most stories about human rights violations by Islamic terrorist regimes in the Muslim world. Events inconsistent with the left's narrative that "Islam is a religion of peace" are ignored.
