@AquaWorldUganda Good facility, but inflexible policies and management pays a deaf ear to clients after collecting your money. In summary, read the fine print very carefully before you pay!! Tip-Never ever pay in advance, they cannot refund or reschedule if you fail to make it on time!!
.@CABI_News plays a crucial role in controlling and managing invasive species that threaten agriculture, biodiversity, and livelihoods worldwide.
Through cutting-edge research, biological control methods, and capacity building, farmers are helped to grow more and lose less.
✅ Early detection & response: Using data-driven tools to identify & manage invasive species before they spread. ✅ Biological control: Introducing natural enemies to sustainably manage pests and weeds. ✅ Farmer training & knowledge sharing: Equipping communities with science-based solutions. @ASARECA@MAAIF_Uganda@narouganda
@ImmigrationDept Hello! I travelled to Kenya with my Uganda passport, which is now with an Embassy for a Visa so dont have it with me. I need to urgently travel back to Uganda. Will my national ID be accepted at JKIA to travel, although I used the passport to come to Kenya?

@FrankTumwebazek@MAAIF_Uganda@narouganda Congratulations Dr. Yonah Baguma on the appointment as the next DG of NARO. Looking forward to working with you in this new role, as we continue contributing towards Uganda's Agricultural Research Strategy. Much appreciation to Dr. Ambrose Agona for the diligent service to NARO.
🦗 After more than two years, the current #desertlocust upsurge has finally declined. We spoke to @rwomivan, a Senior Scientist, Invasive Species Management at @CABI_News, if the transboundary pests can be detected by satellite.

@belinda_njiru@ntsa_kenya @Ma3Route @KenyanTraffic Iam also interested to know how to pay by Mpesa. When I clicked PAY after uploading documents, the online system did not send me any prompt to pay, and only said the submission was successful.
@MarcellinCuma@CABI_Invasives@fredwaremme@icipe@busseolafusca Yes, AAW is highly migratory, whose larval feeding can cause 100% loss. AAW rapidly develops under favorable conditions, moving between fields in great numbers, hence "armyworm". Emergency control by area-wide spraying with contact insecticides. Use also a baculovirus (SpexNPV).
@AtwoliYaa@AutoxpressKenya Took vehicle for service. After inspection, said oil was leaking in spark plug. Indicated they only do servicing, asked me to go have the oil leak fixed and then 'return the car for service'. Never to recommend any preferred car repair agencies. Not been back!
🌍🌿How are Kenyan farmers adapting to climate change?
CABI scientist Ivan Rwomushana has been chatting to BBC World Service about the challenges farmers are facing and the use of environmentally-friendly biocontrols.
