Hard pill to swallow. Last year this milo field received 2” of rain from June 16th to the middle of August.

This year it was planted 3 weeks ago and has yet to receive any measurable rain.

Rare to be that dry last year. Unbelievable to be that dry two years in a row.

Very unusual weather in Mato Grosso. Heavy rainfall in July —similar to the 2023/24 season. That season reminds me of how the crop failure in Mato Grosso changed soybean basis dynamics in Brz.

🇺🇸Last week's U.S. corn export inspections were at the top end of estimates. Soybeans met expectations despite only 1 cargo bound for China. Wheat fell a bit short, but YTD remains ahead of last year at this early stage. About 3 sorghum cargoes were also inspected for China.
