You want to tell men/women in America who make their living in youth soccer that they need to make less?! It's a business. I want them to make as much money for their service as the market will pay them. If they can make a "ton of money" then they should...and I'll celebrate it.
Thierry and Zlatan saying they wouldn't have become soccer players because of the costs of the American youth system, then seeing Lalas say it's a great system because it makes a lot of money for some people really sums it all up nicely
Poch isn't wrong. tbh And it's not just a soccer thing either.
Just look at the teams who regularly pick in the top 5 in the NFL, or in MLB or the NBA. Rev shares guarantee profitability. Team valuations only ever go up.
Players and coaches fight hard because they want to keep their job, but some owners aren't really incentivized to invest because they make money no matter what.
Overseas, the threat of relegation ensures competitiveness because there is room for the people with the checkbook to actually be embarassed.
@jameshemphil@noinconsistency I don’t think it’s shallow to not want to spend the kind of money it takes to raise a child just because life didn’t go your way other people should go through with it when you couldn’t? Insane
@jameshemphil@noinconsistency That’s an insane perspective from a couple that may never have to deal with pregnancy as a thing happening to them. Things happening in your life gives you perspective because I know you lack empathy
@jameshemphil@noinconsistency I’m not insulting you I just gave you the benefit of the doubt that you didn’t have children while being called That Gaming Asshole on Twitter and I was right.
Unconditional free movement of the people involved in playing and running the World Cup should be the bare minimum for any host nation. The spineless cunt running the sport can’t even take his shiny head out of Trump’s ass long enough to back his own referees
