We write apps for myself.
Sometimes for my friends and family too.
We don’t “do” marketing.
We’re pre-revenue.
We spend $400+ per month on AI.
Seed round is open…
@jessyfries@maya_lndn And choosing the right metrics matters.
Choosing "100k followers" vs "securing a brand deal a typical 100k audience enables" determines your freedom.
Martin Scorsese is advising for Black Forest Labs. James Cameron is on the board of Stable Diffusion. These are two amongst the biggest directors of all time. Catastrophic stuff for the Anti-AI folks.
"The fact that someone like Martin Scorsese — one of the greatest, most impressive filmmakers to exist — is using our technology and curious about exploring it...it's such a great proof point that this works.”
- our CEO @robrombach in an interview with @brooksbarnes for the @nytimes. They discussed why Martin Scorsese joined BFL as an advisor.
At Black Forest Labs, we're building visual intelligence: AI models that can understand and reason in the physical and digital worlds. Scorsese is helping shape how our models serve creators who care deeply about their craft, whether they're storytellers, designers, engineers, or roboticists.

Martin Scorsese is an advisor to Black Forest Labs.
He's spent six decades shaping how the world sees stories. Now he's helping us shape visual intelligence with human taste and craft at the center.
We sat down with him for a working storyboarding session using FLUX.
Friendly reminder you can have Claude or Codex download all of your Lens/Farcaster posts and data, and all of your NFTs, and really all onchain data.
It’s like…stupid simple.
And you can build anything with it all.
@isabellasg3 I’m genuinely amazed more people don’t do this.
It’s also -very- easy to build apps which use onchain data. People with NFTs from artists they love should be using them in apps they build. I had Codex build a pet from an NFT character I own.
Happy 1st Birthday, Starbase.
One year ago today, Starbase officially became a city. In that time, we’ve hosted multiple Starship flight tests, grown our community of people building the future of spaceflight, and worked to protect our beaches and natural resources for generations to come.
Next year will be even bigger. More launches. More progress. And we’re just getting started!
Thank you to everyone who has been part of Starbase’s first year as a city.
"many of them want to consume tech without the influence of algorithms... people want tech to be fun again, they want it to be weird, they want to touch it build it and own it"
