DB Finish Drills

- The most important part of secondary play is the finish
- Coaches need to work with players on not panicking at the end of the play
- Every DB at every level is going to get beaten at some point
- The difference between good and elite is not panicking and playing the football
- Work on in phase, out of phase, and trail to finish on the ball
- 2 ball drill - running downhill, finish and catch the football, then high point another ball
- Put the DBs in different spots, different passes, give them landmarks to work through and finish

Basehor-Linwood (12-0) punches its ticket to the 5A state championship game for the first time in program history with a 28-20 win over St. James Academy. Incredible work by Rod Stallbaumer, one of the most consistent coaches in Kansas. The Bobcats have proved EVERYONE wrong, and so has Salina Central, setting up a huge 5A showdown in Emporia.

For the first time since 2013 (Blue Valley), the 5A East representative won’t be Mill Valley or Aquinas in the title game. 🤯 Absolutely incredible run and its not over. #sportsinkansas
