Husband & father. Seeker of hope in all things. I’m passionate about encouraging and equipping the global Church to be faithful to care for children at risk.
When I meet people who knew my grandparents, they most commonly cite appreciation for their decency and the way they lived out their faith with love for others. Decency and how we live life, not if we “win” or “gain power,” is what will define our legacy. How we live matters.
So excited for this @praxislabs event on Monday. Praxis has played a critical role in forming my theology of work and it has changed the way organizations in our community partner because of the Praxis course. Please join us!

@sethhaines I’m seriously worried for the limitations of our society’s basic understanding of the constitution, Bill of Rights, and how it applies or doesn’t to our lives. A good, timely, and focused overview.
@Mepaynl@CTmagazine@Mepaynl this is wonderful. I’ve never been, but I appreciate your curious spirit and commitment to fostering community. All the best to you in this new adventure.
I interrupt my long pause from Twitter to let @realUNOgame know UNO still reigns in our house. After opening Christmas presents that have long been wished for, our 4 yr old simply asked: “who wants to play UNO?” and all other presents were set aside and they came like magnets!

I’m not opposed to events as I have done them for years. But what I’ve noticed is a disconnect.
What the church in the West needs is less events. We are over fed & under used. We have become addicted to an event experience rather than a lifestyle change.
School districts are required by federal law to arrange transportation for homeless kids, but the money provided by that law only averages about $70 per year per child. https://t.co/IqDQvQOmB1
Did you know…there are an estimated 8 mil. children living in orphanages? Of these, over 80% have at least 1 living parent? Many are placed in orphanages by their parents or relatives just to meet their children’s basic needs? But there is hope! #supportF2A
I look forward to reading my friend’s book. I’ve known Mike since we were kids. When he speaks about the things of God and how we need to grow, I try to listen and it’s served me well. Bookmark this to buy when it comes out. I am.
Just sent in the final manuscript for this... very excited. Will be published in June. I'll let you know when it's available for preorder!
