@NW_Horadam Dang I just looked at Ford's current lineup. The *ONLY* car they make is a Mustang? Literally no other cars. Everything else is a truck or SUV.
That is insane.
@NW_Horadam Yes. Just build regular cars that are electric. Weird "mustang" SUV? Full size truck that caters to more conservative crowd? Makes no sense.
An EV Ford Fusion would fly off the shelves.
@GeorgeMayer Agreed with the latter half. It's not that it's "not real", it's that it's unavoidable over time.
Best path, IMO, is to acknowledge that it's a part of life. Minimize it where you can, but accept the debt that's acceptable. If that makes sense.
@manoj_ahi Working remote is already horrible in terms of communication fidelity. Seeing someone's face, their expressions, their body language, is legitimately important.
When we're not physically with each other, we should take every affordance we have to make comms better.
Cameras on!
@programmerByDay "Obviously race car drivers are not good at driving. Otherwise, there would be no crashes"
"Obviously NBA players are not good at free throws. Otherwise, there would be no misses"
@kelseyhightower That simple.
"Sounds awesome, I don't really have time for an unpaid gig though. My usual rate is $200/hr. Otherwise I'll keep my eyes peeled for someone who might be interested in building."
@psomdecerff > The gully-washer thunderstorms? I plan around those.
Exactly. People don't drive in those either unless they have to. It's actually fairly rare to get that kind of rain that is too much for an umbrella and not too much for a drive.
@cbenderatl I played loads of doubles but I always stood off to the side/a little farther back during serves for this exact reason.
His partner is practically asking to get hit standing there. If his head's not there, that serve is in bounds!
