@burkeholland Getting 40+ TPS on M3 Ultra Mac Studio (256GB) running MTPLX. Burns an insane amount of reasoning tokens but Im generally very impressed with the output.
Using opencode.
@dan_schlossberg@mlbbowman Hard disagree, Murphy has a much, much, much better career track record than Tromp. Murphy was still a starter last year from a WAR perspective whereas Tromp has a negative career WAR. Tromp is only a better hitter if you just count his 21 at bats against Murphy's 31 this year.
Boy I really need to dig into this one. Thomas' dissent is pretty interesting. Maybe the answer was not as obvious as I thought. Lots of reading to do. I usually read the ruling and go straight to the dissent. Majority opinion will be a fun read.
@jeffsheehan@R_A_Belcher The overwhelming majority of homeless people are not violent. The ones on the train would rather sleep than have anything to do with you.
That's the case with humans in general. It only takes small probabilities to create fear.
@TenorLion@Fanatics@MLB Wishing you and your family peace in this season of loss. Was watching a guy play God Bless America on bag pipes and was wondering why I had not seen you this season. Glad you are still on the roster!
@allaboutwembley So the behavior of the "Right" creates conflict over right and wrong in the context of this incident? I suppose that makes sense in a way. Just not a way I am into.
@scott_tindle@chamath Hopefully the remaining white collar workers will get more done than before. I suspect a non-trivial number of the fired workers will find a way to be productive either working for themselves or joining the blue-collar ranks.
@Techgnostik@elonmusk Governments love these theories that temporarily untether spending constraints. What was it Milton Friedman said about "temporary" government programs?
@Techgnostik@elonmusk Even MMTers recognize their policies will ultimately lead to inflation. They just think government will have the fortitude to actually raise taxes when inflation hits. Just like Keynes expected government to stop spending when the crisis is over.
@napocornejo Doesn't this potentially increase the quality of education for students as more of the finest minds will spend more time there instead of the adjuncts funded by research IDC?
@CryptoStylesUSA@realDonaldTrump@elonmusk I think the point is the tarrifs give these countries an incentive to do more on their side to manage their borders better. What actually happens? It'll be interesting to see. These are complicated matters with multivariate factors in play.
@RealAlexJones If it forces more discipline for the average American it might be a net good over time but there are probably better ways. Especially if this is not accompanied by a substantial slowdown in prices.
@RealAlexJones Easiest prediction for the outcome of this policy: credit card issuance might crater. Existing cards might get clawed back or annual fees may get higher and more widespread.
