AI discovers far more efficient sorting algorithms than humans ever could. I'm old enough to remember the superoptimizer paper by Massalin, one of the best hackers of all time, where she would exhaustively search sequences of machine code to find more efficient algorithms. Fantastic to see machines pick up from where her work left off.
