Fahrenheit is based on human experience:
0° is fucking cold. 100° is fucking hot.
Celsius is based on at sea level water:
Water freezes at 0° and boils at 100°
A. Celsius is flawed because water freezes and boils at different temperatures depending on altitude.
B. When I ask what the temperature is, I’m asking for myself. I don’t give a fuck how water feels about the weather.
Dearest Martha,
When we march into battle it is not a fight. We lay down and let the enemy murder us. I don’t remember what it feels like to win.

Rick
@DominicLaSalle@karenmotherof2 If we can get to the shootout CBJ generally does well, it’s the other 60 minutes of regulation and 5 of OT that’s questionable.
Me: BYU deserves to be in the Playoff!
Everyone: Try beating someone first!
Me: BYU has six wins over 7+ win teams. That leads the nation. They also have wins over two currently ranked teams.
Everyone: Well that’s because it’s the Big 12, they all stink.
Me: Really? Because the Big 12 had a winning record in non-conference games against P4 competition. They also have five ranked teams, including 4 in the Top 20.
Everyone: That doesn’t prove anything! Look at their SOS or SOR.
Me: That’s fine. BYU is 6th is SOR, ahead of every two loss team. They also have a higher SOS than Ole Miss, Notre Dame, and Miami.
Everyone: Okay well they got blown out by three scores to Texas Tech!
Me: Your right, that was a tough loss. A lot like Oklahoma losing a neutral site game by 3 scores, Oregon losing at Home by 2 scores, or Alabama losing by two scores to a 5-6 Florida State.
Everyone: 😑 😡 😤
…. Well in a hypothetical game, BYU would lose so case closed.
@Asap_Franky Watching first period of “offense” I think aged me 15 years. Looked nothing like the team that played Tuesday or Thursday, but we got the result we needed!
The fact that there’s conversation about Alabama having a chance at the playoffs still is disgusting.
They’re 8-3, with a blowout loss to 6-5 Oklahoma and a loss to 6-5 Vanderbilt.
If this was anyone not named “Alabama” you wouldn’t hear a PEEP about playoffs.
The Cincinnati Bearcats football cycle:
- Elite first drive, score a TD
- Offense does nothing rest of game
- Defense plays good first half
- Defense collapses second half
- Special teams awful
- Comeback in the end but fall short
- Repeat
