I thank and appreciate Prime Minister Trudeau's service to the country. It’s clear that people feel abandoned by governments right now. Life is harder than ever – people working full-time jobs are relying on food banks and living in tents. The rich are getting richer while everyone else is struggling just to get by day-to-day.
Ontario is no exception. While Premier Ford points the finger at Trudeau, the reality is that most of the issues that people struggle with -- housing affordability, access to healthcare, overcrowded classrooms -- are provincial jurisdiction. Now more than ever, we need a provincial government that’s working for everyday Ontarians – not for big corporations and billionaires.
Whether it’s failing to build affordable homes or selling off our public healthcare system, Doug Ford has shown time and again who he cares about – and it’s not you.
Ontario Greens have a different vision. Every day, we’re putting people before profits and working hard to deliver better housing, healthcare and justice for those who feel left behind by this government. I believe in the power of people coming together to do what current governments won’t. And I know that together, we can build the Ontario we deserve.
if the news is true - even though i was not a fan of him anymore, one direction changed and shaped my life so much and he was a part of that band. these feelings are so complicated and hard to navigate. i am literally at loss for words.
So you can set up a “f@ck trudeau” rally and camp out for months in Ottawa, the border or on the side of the hwy , but two days of “Free Palestine” and they send in the Billy clubs?
Since when does our freedom to protest depend on which side of the political spectrum you’re on?
Confused about how everyone hyped up the excessively mid solar eclipse for weeks but nobody thought to mention the aurora borealis until after the fact?
One of the cool teachers at my high school fostered a close relationship with the team he coached. He acted like they were all his best friends. His son with one of them now teaches at the same high school. Some of you weren't paying attention to how the grooming actually worked

This morning, over a hundred people gathered outside Queen's Park to deliver 6,000 petition signatures to Doug Ford telling him to keep his Greenbelt promise.
Our message: keep your #HandsOffTheGreenbelt, cancel #Highway413, and invest in livable and affordable communities now.
😠Don't mess with the Oak Ridges Moraine. @fordnation If we start paving over (capping) the Moraine it can't replenish the aquifers. The Legislation for it + the Greenbelt were science based decisions, not economic. 250,000+ depend on the well water. 25+ rivers flow from here.
@kanapolotos@1goodtern And yet the teachers of schools who were open were forced to go to school, weren’t allowed to wear masks, and when they got covid they also had to go to school without a mask.

Tragedy unfolding on Keystone Pipeline near the Nebraska/Kansas border. What @TCEnergy will not admit is that they cannot “clean” this up. They will scrape the vegetation and topsoil, treat it, and haul to a landfill. Riparian (stream) damage for decade+.

Until a few weeks ago none of us knew @fordnation was about to hand over chunks of #Greenbelt to his billionaire developer buddies or gut broader environmental protections w #Bill23. If he gets away with this, none of protections we hold dear for clear air, water, nature are safe
Dismantling environmental protections, bulldozing the Greenbelt, attacking local democracy—none of these will solve the housing crisis. Smart, sustainable planning will. We have the solutions. We just need a government willing to implement them. #onpoli
I agree. The #Greenbelt is worth fighting for. It is the land that feeds us, cleans our drinking water, protects us from floods and provides space to enjoy with our family. Ford & his donors want to destroy it. #onpoli https://t.co/DX3uH58WSW
