Those who are compromised on this front very easily succumb to blackmail by enemies of Bharat, than those who are financially corrupt!

सूर्याला काहीही फरक पडत नाही: ‘मकरसंक्रांती’ नावाची मानवी गोष्ट

सर्वप्रथम एक कटू सत्य मान्य करूया—सूर्याला मकरसंक्रांती माहित नाही. त्याला उत्तरायण, दक्षिणायन, पुण्यकाल, महापुण्यकाल, दान, उपवास, कीर्तन, भाषण—कशाचाच काहीही फरक पडत नाही.
तो फक्त हायड्रोजन जाळतो. तेही अब्जावधी वर्षांपासून. मानव अस्तित्वात येण्याच्या फार आधीपासून.
उरलेले सर्व अर्थ—आपण घडवलेले आहेत.
उत्तरायण शुभ असेल तर दक्षिणायन अशुभ का नाही?
जर सूर्याचा उत्तर दिशेने प्रवास ‘शुभ’ असेल, तर त्याच तर्काने त्याचा दक्षिणेकडील प्रवास ‘अशुभ’ असलाच पाहिजे.
पण तसे कुठे घडते?
दक्षिणायनात:
* पीक येते
* मूल जन्माला येते
* लग्नं होतात
* उद्योग चालतात
* संस्कृती नष्ट होत नाहीत
मग काय बिघडते?
काहीच नाही.
मग प्रश्न असा आहे की शुभ-अशुभ हे निसर्गाचे गुणधर्म आहेत की मानवी सोयीचे लेबल?
रात्र वाईट नाही. हिवाळा शाप नाही. अंधार म्हणजे अधःपतन नाही.
हे सर्व निसर्गावर लादलेले मानवी भावनिक अर्थ आहेत.
दिशा निसर्गाला कळत नाहीत
उत्तर, दक्षिण, पूर्व, पश्चिम—या दिशा माणसाने शोधलेल्या नाहीत, माणसाने ठरवल्या आहेत. निसर्गाला दिशा नसतात. त्याला फक्त बलं (forces) कळतात.
सूर्य “मकर राशीत प्रवेश करतो” ही भाषा वैज्ञानिक नाही; ती सांस्कृतिक आहे. आकाशात कुठेही मकर राशीची पाटी लावलेली नाही. सूर्य कुठल्याही सीमारेषा ओलांडत नाही.
मानवाने आकाशाचे तुकडे केले आणि मग त्या तुकड्यांना अर्थ चिकटवले.
सिंधू संस्कृतीत उत्तरायण नव्हते—का?
हा प्रश्न फार अस्वस्थ करणारा आहे, म्हणून तो विचारला जात नाही.
सिंधू संस्कृती—इतकी प्रगत, इतकी नियोजित, इतकी शिस्तबद्ध— पण तिथे:
* उत्तरायण नाही
* दक्षिणायन नाही
* सूर्याच्या दिशांना आध्यात्मिक श्रेणी नाही
का?
कारण त्या लोकांना निसर्गाशी जगायचं होतं, त्याच्यावर अर्थ लादायचा नव्हता. त्यांची संस्कृती प्रॅक्टिकल होती, पोएटिक नव्हती.
म्हणजेच— सूर्याच्या हालचालींना आध्यात्मिक अर्थ देणे हे अपरिहार्य नाही; ते सांस्कृतिक आयात आहे.
युक्रेनच्या थंडीतून जन्मलेली अध्यात्मिक गोष्ट
मग हे उत्तरायणाचं ‘शुभत्व’ कुठून आलं?
त्याचं उत्तर वेदात नाही, तर भूगोलात आहे.
स्टेपी प्रदेशात भटके गुराखी गायी पालनावर आपला उदरनिर्वाह करायचे. हा प्रदेश म्हणजे आजचा युक्रेन, रशिया, मध्य आशिया. तिथे हिवाळा म्हणजे:
* मृत्यू
* हालचाल थांबलेली
* अन्नटंचाई
* जीवनाचा प्रश्न
तिथे सूर्य उत्तर दिशेने येणं म्हणजे जगण्याची परवानगी.
म्हणून ते लोक सूर्याच्या उत्तरायणाला आनंदाने साजरं करत. ते धर्म नव्हतं—ते सुटकेचं समाधान होतं.
जेव्हा हे स्टेपी प्रदेशातील भटके गुराखी लोक ३९०० वर्षापूर्वी अन्नाच्या शोधात भारतात आले, तेव्हा त्यांनी आपला भौगोलिक अनुभव धर्मात रूपांतरित केला.
भारताला त्याची गरज नव्हती. पण कथा टिकून राहिली.
भूगोल जेव्हा देव बनतो
भारतात उत्तरायण नसतं तरी आयुष्य चाललं असतं. पण एकदा एखादी गोष्ट ‘पवित्र’ ठरली की, ती प्रश्न विचारायला बंदी घालते.
आणि इथेच समस्या सुरू होते.
आपण भूगोलाला देव बनवतो, हवामानाला तत्त्वज्ञान बनवतो, आणि मग त्यालाच शाश्वत सत्य समजतो.
शेतीला देव लागत नाही
शेतीला पाऊस लागतो. माती लागते. कष्ट लागतात.
देव, पुण्यकाल, संक्रांती—हे सर्व नंतर जोडलेलं आहे.
प्रथम गरज होती. मग निरीक्षण. मग सवय. मग विधी. मग धर्म.
हा क्रम उलटा सांगितला जातो—हीच फसवणूक आहे.
सूर्याला आपण महत्त्वाचे नाही
हे स्वीकारणं अवघड आहे, पण आवश्यक आहे:
* सूर्य आपल्यासाठी उगवत नाही
* ऋतू आपल्यासाठी बदलत नाहीत
* विश्व आपल्याला अर्थ देत नाही
अर्थ आपणच तयार करतो.
आणि मग तो अर्थ विश्वावर लादतो.
निष्कर्ष: मोठं होणं म्हणजे प्रामाणिक होणं
मकरसंक्रांती साजरी करू नये असं नाही. पण तिला वैश्विक सत्य म्हणू नये.
ती एक सांस्कृतिक आठवण आहे—युक्रेनच्या थंडीची, मानवी भीतीची, आणि सुटकेच्या आनंदाची.
सूर्य काही देत नाही. तो फक्त असतो.
अर्थ हवा असेल, तर तो आपण निर्माण करूया—खोट्या आकाशीय मंजुरीशिवाय.
कारण शेवटी एकच सत्य उरतं:
विश्व आपल्याला काहीच देणं लागत नाही.पण माणूस स्वतःला प्रामाणिकपणा देऊ शकतो.
आणि तोच खरा ‘उत्तरायण’ आहे.

“The RSS and the BJP were first in line of those pressuring the Indira Gandhi-led Congress government at the centre to take military action in the Golden Temple, in what came to be known as Operation Blue Star.

📌On 3 May 1984, a few weeks before Blue Star commenced on 1 June, the BJP leaders LK Advani and AB Vajpayee sat on a dharna in Delhi, demanding that the armed forces be sent into the Golden Temple.

In his memoir, My Country, My Life, Advani admitted this and even extolled the military action. In the chapter on Punjab, titled “The Trauma and Triumph of Punjab,” Advani wrote, “One of the major mass agitations in the history of the BJP was … against what we termed as the government’s virtual surrender before Bhindranwale and his private army, who had made the Golden Temple their operational headquarters.”
After Operation Blue Star, there were several reports stating that the RSS distributed laddus in celebration of the military action.

➡️On 8 November 1984, Nanaji Deshmukh, a Jan Sangh leader who was felicitated with the Bharat Ratna by the Modi government, published an essay, “Moment of Soul Searching,” in which he praised Indira Gandhi for Blue Star and justified the 1984 Sikh massacre by saying that it was the fault of the Sikh leaders of that time.

➡️Similarly, in 1985, Arun Shourie, another BJP leader who served in Vajpayee’s government, contributed to a book titled The Punjab Story. Shourie’s essay in the book, “Lessons from the Punjab” justified Operation Blue Star.
