조국혁신당은 물론 검찰개혁 주장자 대부분이 법무부 내에 수사담당 중수청, 기소담당 공소청을 두자고 했습니다. 공소청에 보완수사권을 주자는 주장과 함께.

그러나 이 정부는 수사기소를 중수청과 공소청으로 분리하되, 법무부와 행안부에 따로 배속시키는 것으로 한걸음 더 나갔습니다. 이 과정에서 이 분들의 입장을 바꾼 보완수사권 박탈 주장도 관철되었습니다.

검찰개혁의 본질인 수사 기소분리는 보완수사까지 금지될만큼 이제 완성되었습니다.

경찰과 중수청의 수사권 남용, 사건 암장이나 왜곡에 대한 국민의 우려가 크지만,
중수청경찰내부통제와 감찰 철저, 불기소송부사건 철저 점검 등 제도보완으로 국민적 우려를 반드시 불식시키겠습니다.

물론 정부도 원활한 원유 공급을 지원하고, 생산원가와 최고가격제한액의 차액을 보상합니다.

정유사들은 국내 공급분에 대해 최고가격제로 마진이 크지 않겠지만, 정제유 국제시세가 매우 높아 수출을 많이 하는 국내정유사들은 수출부문에서 수익이 매우 높습니다.

검찰개혁은 국민을 위해 하는 것이지 특정 개인들의 정치적 유산을 만들기 위해 하는 것이 아닙니다.

모두가 함께 노력해 만든 성과를 독차지해 보겠다고 다른 이들의 노력을 무용하다거나 심지어 장해라고 폄훼하는 것은 더더욱 옳지 않습니다.

검찰개혁은 검찰에 복수하고 검찰기능을 파괴하려고 하는 것이 아니라,
수사와 기소기능을 분리하여 두 기능이 정권에 악용되지 않으면서도 최적으로 잘 작동되게 하려는 것입니다.

검찰개혁은 정부가 시간을 끈 게 아니라 당정 합의에 따라 어느 정부보다 신속하고 완벽하게 1) 수사기소 완전분리는 물론 2) 당초 많은 이들이(제가 아니고) 구상했던 것 이상으로 소속부처 분리까지 이뤄냈습니다.

이제 남은 것은 행안부 중수청의 수사기능과 법무부 공소청의 공소기능이 잘 작동되게 하는 것입니다.

중수청은 우리사회를 좀먹는 공직자 부패범죄, 주가조작이나 담합 같이 서민 눈물나게 하며 경제질서 어지럽히는 경제범죄, 화이트칼라 범죄 등을 여야 네편내편 가릴 것 없이 엄정하게 철저히 수사할 것이고,

공소청은 공익의 대표자로서 공정하고 투명하게 국민의 인권을 옹호하며 기소 및 공소유지 업무를 수행할 것입니다.

이제 수사기소분리라는 검찰개혁의 과제는 법률에 의해 제도적으로 완성되었고, 잘 정착시켜 제대로 운영하는 일이 남았습니다.

언제나 강조하는 것처럼 국정을 포함한 모든 공적업무에서는 공사를 구별하고 사심을 버리는 것이 가장 중요합니다.

설마 그러지 않을 것으로 믿지만 만의 하나라도 검찰개혁을 빙자하여 사심으로 인사와 구체적 수사공소업무까지 좌지우지하려해서는 안될 것입니다.

5. Treasury is reportedly weighing a push for dollar stablecoins overseas

6. White House blamed the big banks for killing the bill

7. NYSE signed a deal to bring tokenized stocks to 44 MILLION crypto accounts

8. BlackRock, DTCC, Visa and Mastercard became validators on Circle's new Arc blockchain

9. Community banks sued to stop crypto firms getting federal trust charters

10. Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $3 BILLION in 9 straight days

And what's coming next:

- DTCC, which holds over $114 TRILLION in assets, is set to launch its tokenization service in October

- US stocks are set to trade 23 hours a day from December 6

- CLARITY can still come back, after Sen. Tillis filed a motion to reconsider

But one thing is clear, crypto is moving forward with or without the CLARITY Act.
