Tenured!
Happy to share this news, and take this opportunity to thank my incredible colleagues at TAU. I love working with you, and am proud to be tenured with this amazing group of researchers: Gal, @ShacharReichman, Tomer, @inbal_yahav, @Zalmanson, Yael, Hilah, Moshe.@info_mgmt
I’ve successfully filed 8 FOIAs and won 3 FOIA lawsuits. The following thread is a guide to filing a FOIA request as a researcher, including templates and real example filings.
Please RT! If this thread is helpful, I'll write a Part 2 on filing FOIA lawsuits.

@parks_kinl60675 @InbalYahav@ChenElyashar That's not quite what we're saying.. We find that users writing in a neutral tone are more satisfied with an emotionally neutral chatbot, while those writing in a negative tone are more satisfied with a caring bot. So perhaps chatbots shouldn't always use caring language.
Should we adapt chatbots' personality based on users' emotional content? Preliminary results from this work with @InbalYahav and @ChenElyashar say that we should. User satisfaction in customer service interactions can be increased when we adapt the chatbot's emotional level to the user's. This can be done based solely on text analysis of the user’s message, without relying on personal data or requiring a depth of interaction. https://t.co/LCTZu2Wez8
I'm delighted this work with @sagitbargill and @NirHak1 is now in Management Science.
There have been many anecdotes and observational studies about data-driven decision-making (DDD) and productivity, but this project got at causality.
tl;dr: DDD *causes* higher productivity
Now online @INFORMSPubs#managementscience: Work with @erikbryn and @NirHak1 deriving the first experiment-based estimates for the impacts of analytics and data-driven decision-making on SMEs. Analytics increases SMEs’ revenues by 3.6%, and active performance monitoring is key- it’s not just the data, it’s how you use it.

This week, @sagitbargill kicked our seminar speaker series off with a fantastic presentation. She presented joint work with @erikbryn and Nir Hak on the effects of Data-Driven Decision Making on eBay.
At the Stanford Digital Economy Lab, we're working to understand the challenges and opportunities created by AI and the digital economy.
Please follow us at @DigEconLab to learn more about our research, seminars, and projects.

Russian team attacks Ashram's win, Israel fires back:
In 2018, Russian Dina Averina won gold in the world championships after dropping her ribbon, while Israeli Linoy Ashram won silver. Back then, the ROC had no complaints about the score.

In a recent paper with @ShacharReichman out in @MISQuarterly, we find a causal impact of online engagement on offline sales- a negative one! @mit_ide https://t.co/b45SdQ9C6g
