Absolutely thrilled to be nominated by @trampset for a story I love (and was written in an @DevaneEmily workshop) - and congratulations to the other nominees as well (what a list be part of!!) 🤩
@marie_keates@kyhorrorstory Exactly this. Had a very religious Christian one, allegedly, saying his parents had died and his brother and sisters sometimes had nothing to eat, and when I said I was sure Jesus would help them he lost interest...
@marie_keates@DavidB82331 Recently I replied to a couple of these until we got to the point (asking me for money). It was fun and one of them actually ghosted me!
🎉Huge congratulations to the winners 🎉
It was a delight to read all the stories I got to read in this round! I loved all three of these winners! Read them now!!! (Yes, that is an order!)
Happy news! Grief's Alphabet is one of @John_Clegg_37 of the @LRBbookshop's poetry books of the year! It's in great company alongside J.H. Prynne's Poems 2016-2024, Mimi Khalvati's Collected Poems, @CamilleRalphs_' After You Were, I Am, and Jamie McKendrick's Drypoint.
🥹😍🥰
@JacquiWine @JanetEmson@BL_Publishing @stuck_inabook Some Tame Gazelle by Pym to start with, followed by Excellent Women and Jane and Prudence... and then all the rest!
