I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you, as a citizen of Pakistan, who is deeply committed to the principles of democracy and fair governance. I am reaching out to express my profound concerns over the recent electoral process in Pakistan, which has culminated in what is widely regarded as the most blatant instance of electoral rigging in our history.

The recent elections, held on 08-02-2024, have been marred by numerous credible reports and documented evidence of widespread manipulation and fraud, aimed at skewing the results in favor of the current regime, which is widely perceived to be backed by military interests. These actions have not only stolen the mandate of the people but also undermined the very foundations of democracy and justice in our country.

The implications of this situation are far-reaching and impact not only the political landscape but also the economic stability and future of Pakistan. In light of this, I am reaching out to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to urge you to take a stand for democracy and good governance by making it a condition of your program with Pakistan that an independent inquiry be conducted into the allegations of election rigging. Such an inquiry should be international in scope, transparent in its proceedings, and impartial in its judgments, ensuring that all involved parties are held to account.

We believe that without a legitimate government, elected by the true will of the people, there can be no moral justification for imposing higher taxes or enduring inflation and other economic hardships that typically accompany IMF programs. It is unjust to expect the citizens of Pakistan to bear these burdens when their rights to fair and democratic governance have been so egregiously violated.

The evidence at our disposal, which includes Signed 100s of form 45s in every constituency which are the bedrock of electoral results and are the government's official documents, there is undeniable video evidence of blatant rigging and printing of fake ballot papers and stamping on ballots well after the polling time ended. clearly indicates the need for immediate action to address these injustices and restore faith in our electoral system. PTI, the party affected by the rigging is prepared to provide this documentation to assist in any investigation that may be undertaken.

I respectfully request that the IMF consider this matter with the utmost seriousness and urgency it warrants. By integrating the condition of an independent electoral inquiry into your engagement with Pakistan, the IMF has a unique opportunity to champion the cause of democracy and to contribute significantly to the establishment of a legitimate and accountable government in Pakistan.

Given the previous tragedy of Arshad Sharif Shaheed in Kenya, (23 Oct, 2022)imaginations are running amok like a wild jungle fire in a dry water starved forest!
Pakistan's key institutions are focus of all these rumors; since Police has very cleverly shared the video of his exit from police custody and being taken away by masked men who came in vehicles. Any untoward incident happened and this will become a UN Enquiry and may lead to hearing in the US Senate. This is time for careful reflection & responsibility. These irresponsible acts will ultimately reduce Pakistan's status as a sovereign state - world will be compelled to look inside Pakistan!
Whatever advantage any body thought of detaining prominent journalists Imran Riaz & Sami Ibrahim is fast becoming a serious disadvantage! Captors have lost the plot, they are mentally isolated. Some one above them needs to look seriously at these developments and find an amiable solution. Find a way to release him! Strike a respectable deal with him! He is mature & can understand that his captors are now caught/locked in a difficult situation!
