#EMbound#match2024 peeps…
Yes, logistics are important. Shift numbers, meal stipends, parking, etc. All important. But I HIGHLY recommend you pay attention to the vibes. Write down how the program makes you feel. Because you deserve energy that makes you feel good.
United: “we ran 300 statistical models saying that we can speed up our boarding process by 3 minutes and 12 seconds if we increase the number of boarding groups from 5 to 6”
Southwest: “we’re running our own version of the Stanford prison experiment”
The best response to a trainee who expresses ambitious aspirations is "that sounds great, what can I do to help you achieve your goals?".
Not "that's a lot, you're going to have to chose one path."
You know that feeling when you are on the precipice of something incredible? Like you are literally looking at a doorway, with it swung open and all you have to do is walk through?
Takes your breath away…
It’s interview season and am asking letter writers to consider how they describe applicants.
Personality remarks like “quiet but pleasant” are not helpful.

Complacency is the silent assassin of progress. Stay hungry, stay focused, and keep pushing forward. Each step, no matter how small, fuels the fire of transformation. 🙏🏾
Happy to see harmful, anti-competitive, profit-centered practices like private equity ownership & consolidation discussed at medical conferences like #ACEP23. Physicians and their specialty organizations need to be a constant bug in the ear of government officials on these issues
Long time, no see. So wonderful running into so many of you at ACEP this year! I might just have to jump back into this no-longer-bird app. Cheers! <3
Checking in on NYEE to say I’m doing alright, I’m healthy, and looking forward to 2023. If this year sucked for you too, then grab my hand and let’s do this next lap together. Day by day. 💛
@adhdjesse Night-before routine. Clothes always out, hair/makeup etc. down to the scoop of protein in my blender. The less decisions I have to make in the morning (pre-meds) the better my day goes! And wearing shoes all of the time I need my brain working. It just works for me 🙌🏼😬
