Just an FYI that the Trump admin has continuously eroded Title IX protections for survivors and slashed the resources available for the dept of education and the Office of Civil Rights. If a survivor's rights are violated in a Title IX process, they have limited recourse ...

I am one of the VERY FEW survivors whose rapist received official sanctions as the result of a Title IX investigation. ONE OF THE VERY VERY FEW.

I reported my rape to my university. They refused to investigate for months until I retained a lawyer. Continuously pressured me to do an "alternative resolution" process (like letter writing instead of formal sanctions) instead of a full investigation. 🧵

They let this man remain on campus for months and months before even launching an investigation. Putting other women at risk of the same violent rape to which he subjected me.
