The Japanese anime states Kid Buu is the strongest 3 times. Toei are the ones who changed the manga.

The issue with English is how many times and variations the Buu saga was translated. Multiple times in z, then Kai, then all the games and promotional material, things get misinterpreted a lot. In alot of promo material, games, and even dubs, Kid Buu is stated as being stronger. Not saying that it’s right, but it’s understandable how some English speaking fans can get confused based on what that watch and interact with

@EmperorBigD There's a reason both Goku and Gohan lose Full Power/Mastered SSJ after the Cell games, because they dont maintain it. Their SSJ is still and always has been a 50x multiplier. Why would Grade 2 & 3 physically change their appearance but "Grade 4" doesnt at all?

Its easier to get Goku into Gero expected range when you think about it. He says he doesn't think Goku can get the same gains due to age but Base Goku was still at the higher end of expectations. Androids being 75x expected Goku makes more sense than Gero saw 32k and made 150m+.

@GoldenPortable i have an old ass video about it but Goku went from ~400 to >8000 in a year. Could even assume Gero was accounting for Kaioken x4 so >32,000. That’s 80x in a year but even if he assumed Goku gets 20x every year that’s still 5,120,000,000 by the time the Androids are released

@JohnnyBazel Goku and Vegeta both stayed they underestimated Buu. Vegeta's plan was beat Goku, Beat Buu then use the Dragonballs to bring those he killed back. It doesn't excuse him but that's he reasoning.
