As part of #OpenHouseDublin2026 I’ll be leading a walk through the neighbourhood on Sunday 18th October. Do join me, you can book here:

It is clear that a lack of infrastructure spend in Sligo has stymied its growth over the years. The full restoration of the WRC for intercity rail to Galway will be a significant step in the right direction. #sligo#mayo#galway#ireland#ATU#westernrailcorridor#yeatscounty
“2.1mn sq m of the country’s 5mn sq m of modern warehouses have been destroyed, with 900,000 sq m alone hit in recent months, according to Ruslan Shostak…
Earlier this month, ballistic missile strikes disabled Ukraine’s three major remaining steel plants in the industrial heartlands of the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions…
‘As of today, [Ukraine] doesn’t have a steel industry any more,’ Oleksandr Vodoviz, head of the chief executive’s office at Metinvest…
‘They knew everything about the plant, they knew exactly where to hit,’ Vodoviz said. Ballistic missiles targeted the blast furnaces at the three plants, including two owned by Metinvest and an ArcelorMittal factory in Zelenskyy’s native city of Kryvyi Rih.
Metinvest and ArcelorMittal said the factories — which together made up 90 per cent of the country’s steel output — were now idle…
Russia’s blockade of the Black Sea is also costing Ukraine about 1.5 per cent of GDP, according to government estimates. Agriculture minister Taras Vysotskyi said alternative routes allowed Ukraine to export only 40 per cent of its normal agricultural volumes.”

“It is so dangerous now in Slovyansk and Kramatorsk that police say it is time for civilians to get out. These neighbouring cities are the biggest still under full Ukrainian control in the eastern Donbas region.
In the worst affected areas, forced evacuations of families with children have already begun, says Pavlo Dyachenko of Donetsk police.
‘This is the only way to save your life,’ he says, because security has deteriorated so much.
‘If you take Slovyansk, it used to be hit by glide bombs roughly once a week, but now it's almost every day…’
Over the summer, the number of civilians wounded by Russian attacks on the two cities increased from 70 in June to 212 in August, say Ukrainian police.
Sixteen people died in June, 20 in July and 15 in August.”

“Deep in Arctic waters near the remote Svalbard archipelago this spring, NATO allies caught Russian subs training to unleash a secret weapon designed to disable critical undersea cables without leaving any fingerprints.
The clandestine Russian operation, described to Reuters by two Western officials, was carried out by Moscow's GUGI undersea warfare directorate, which used deep-sea submersibles to simulate the deployment of the sophisticated and destructive technology.
A joint operation involving Britain, Norway and the United States tracked and confronted the Russian vessels at sea, said the two officials, speaking on condition of anonymity. The vessels were prevented from completing their exercise and eventually left the area.”

“A wave of Ukrainian attacks has pushed Russian refining runs to the lowest in more than 21 years, deepening a domestic fuel crunch and further squeezing the global market.
Crude-processing rates have averaged 3.91 million barrels a day so far this month, the lowest level since March 2005, according to figures compiled by EA Analytics. That’s more than 1.4 million barrels a day below the year-ago average, the data show.
The drop in production has prompted a ban on most diesel exports to the end of July, in addition to restrictions on gasoline and jet fuel shipments introduced earlier. The loss of diesel from a key global supplier has driven prices to multiyear highs, with the market already tightened by disruptions to Middle East flows.”

“At the heart of the operation in Tokyo is a secretive Russian military intelligence unit known as the 20th Directorate, whose role has never been publicly disclosed. Posing as diplomats or businesspeople, its officers work to buy or steal battlefield technology and smuggle it into Russia, according to current and former officials at five Western intelligence agencies.
The man overseeing the 20th Directorate’s operation in Tokyo maintains a cover identity as an employee of the Russian state airline Aeroflot, according to current officials from four of those intelligence agencies. He plays a crucial role in supplying Russia’s war machine…
Mr. Filchenkov began developing relationships with logistics companies that ship goods from Japan to Russia, according to business records and interviews. Western officials have warned Japan that relationships like these help G.R.U. officers buy sensitive technology under false pretenses and send it to Russia, sometimes using bogus shipping records.”

‘If you vote Binface you’ll save the British taxpayer £350k — the cost of the second by-election if Farage wins this one and and the parliamentary authorities then find corruption — and you can put that on the side of a bus.’
@RupertMyers this is local politics in Ireland...as it is elsewhere; not elegant or principled. However our TDs (MPs) are not alarmed enough to do something.
And this is why I think the arguments that drones have made maneuver impossible are wrong. Cheap ISR and strike drones right now are enabling an interdiction campaign at operational depths without air superiority that Ukraine could not achieve with ATACMS/HIMARS in 2023. Along with destruction and effective suppression of UAS positions, Ukraine can set conditions for employing armor again.
A new CNN investigation finds that a Russian cargo ship likely carrying two nuclear reactors and possibly destined for North Korea, sank in unexplained circumstances off the coast of Spain.

It's been over a week since my last post...
I got completely burned out. After fighting for months to save my 13-year-old Panzer Picture channel from that ridiculous false "sexual abuse" flag, I pretty much lost all hope it's ever coming back.
The stress has been brutal on my health (Crohn’s hasn’t helped).
If you're still here and believe in preserving WW2 history, a like or RT would mean the world right now.
Thank you for not forgetting ❤️

Japan just unveiled a drone made entirely of cardboard. It flies at 120 km per hour, can be assembled in 5 minutes, and is designed to be used in massive swarms. The craziest part is it can be mass produced at any regular cardboard factory. The future is cheap.
Star of the Irish Cavalry Corp’s centenary event in 2021 was this Swedish-built Landsverk L60 light tank preserved in the Curragh Camp. It was delivered in 1935 and a second in 1936. Still powered by its original Bussing-Nag 7.9 litre petrol V8.
