I strongly condemn the high-handedness of the police against CJP youth who were peacefully participating in a rally over the NEET discrepancies.

The visuals from Delhi are shocking.

Instead of addressing their concerns, the government is responding with its police force. This is unacceptable in a democracy.

For more than a decade now, DMK has been advocating abolition of NEET.

Today, Tamil Nadu's voice against NEET is resonating across the nation, including from the national capital.

The demand of the Nation's Youth is clear. Listen to them.

On the morning of 19th of August my entire family was with my mother by her bedside. My daughter came to take her grandmother's blessings as she had to go to Kazakhstan for the 16th #ISSF #AsianShootingChampionship. She was boarding the flight when my mother left us. We didn't know what to do...she was distraught and wanted to deboard the flight. I asked myself what would my mother ask me to do...after a long call she sobbed and boarded the flight.

Over the last few days she has been crying on and off since she couldn't be here for her grandmother's final rites. All of us said - just get your grandmother a medal.

Today, am extremely happy that she has Won Silver at the Asian Shooting Championship♥️ THIS is What My Mother would have loved to see. Not her crying but winning medals for the country.

What makes this EVEN more special is her brother (my cousin's son) Yugan has Won GOLD🥇 in both Individual and Team event and OUR @TNShooting Women's Team has Won ALL THREE MEDALS🌟

Am extremely thrilled that Tanisska, Nilaa and Anthra have won Gold🥇, Silver🥈and Broze 🥉, respectively for INDIA and made #TamilNadu Proud♥️

The icing on the cake is that all three shooters in the youth category Team Event are from TAMIL NADU and they have WON GOLD🥇 FOR INDIA in the Youth TEAM event ♥️🌟

The Union Government urged everyone to open bank accounts. Then came demonetisation, pitching #DigitalIndia.

What followed? Charges on digital transactions, penalties for low balances and now the RBI has allowed banks to charge up to Rs. 23 for ATM withdrawals beyond monthly limit.

This will make people withdraw more than they need and in particular, negate the objectives of financial inclusion of poor.

Beneficiaries of #MNREGA, which is already starved of funds and the poor who benefit from our #KMUT cash transfers will be the ones who will be hit the hardest.

This is not digitisation. It is institutionalised extraction. The poor swipe, the rich smile.

அனைவரும் வங்கியில் கணக்கு தொடங்குங்கள் என்று ஒன்றிய அரசு சொன்னது. பிறகு பணமதிப்பிழப்பு நடவடிக்கை கொண்டுவந்து, டிஜிட்டல் இந்தியா என்றார்கள்.

அடுத்து… டிஜிட்டல் பரிவர்த்தனைகளுக்குக் கட்டணம் பிடித்தார்கள். குறைவான இருப்புத் தொகை என்று சொல்லி அபராதம் விதித்தார்கள். தற்போது, அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட மாதாந்திர அளவைத் தாண்டி ஏ.டி.எம்-இல் பணம் எடுக்கும் ஒவ்வொருமுறையும் 23 ரூபாய் வரை கட்டணம் பிடிக்க வங்கிகளுக்கு ரிசர்வ் வங்கி அனுமதி அளித்துள்ளது.

இதனால் என்ன ஆகும்? தேவைக்கு மீறி, ஒரேயடியாக மக்கள் தங்கள் பணத்தை எடுக்க வேண்டி வரும். குறிப்பாக ஏழைகளுக்கும் வங்கிச் சேவைகள் சென்று சேரவேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தையே இது சிதைத்துவிடும்.

ஏற்கனவே நிதி விடுவிக்கப்படாமல் தவிக்கும் நூறு நாள் வேலைத் திட்டப் பயனாளிகள், கலைஞர் மகளிர் உரிமைத் திட்டத்தில் பயன்பெறும் ஏழைகள் ஆகியோர்தான் இதனால் இருப்பதிலேயே அதிக பாதிப்புக்கு உள்ளாவார்கள்.

இது டிஜிட்டல்மயமாக்கம் அல்ல, இது நிறுவனமயமாக்கப்பட்ட சுரண்டல். ஏழைகள் ஏ.டி.எம். அட்டையைத் தேய்க்க, பணக்காரர்கள் திளைக்கிறார்கள்.
