A month before the fires now ravaging the outskirts of LA, the LA Fire Chief warned the Democrat Mayor of the city that the $17 million cut from their budget:

"severely limited the department's capacity to prepare for, train for, and respond to large-scale emergencies, including wildfires."

Maybe the $17million was needed for Ukraine?
