There is little choice left for the people of Pakistan.

Either remain silent while their chosen leader is imprisoned. Whilst his family is detained, his party is suppressed and justice is denied - or come out peacefully and exercise their fundamental right to protest.

You can arrest families and threaten people with violence. But you cannot imprison 250 million Pakistanis or crush the will of a generation.

No regime is more powerful than its people. The world must watch as the people of Pakistan come together to demonstrate their plea for justice, even in the face of threats of violence.

Inshallah, Pakistan’s future will be decided by its people, not by criminals who rule through fear.

🚨🇵🇰 BREAKING:

Imran Khan’s family has just released a statement on the detention of his sister, Aleema Khan, and the police operation that followed at their family homes in Lahore.

According to the family, Aleema left home on Sunday and NEVER returned...

Her car was later found at a police station, before they learned she had been DETAINED under Pakistan’s Maintenance of Public Order law.

Police then surrounded the family homes before launching a MASSIVE overnight raid, during which Imran’s other sisters, Uzma Khanum and Noreen Niazi, were detained alongside several relatives and staff.

The family alleges officers kicked down Uzma’s bedroom door, dragged staff from their quarters, and detained family members before taking them away in an armored police vehicle...

They further allege that 20+ officers entered an upstairs section where Aleema’s daughter-in-law was alone with her daughters, aged 2 and 7, attempted to arrest her, and later took her and the frightened children around the house to identify CCTV cameras and recording equipment, which officers proceeded to destroy.

The family says Uzma and Noreen were ultimately separated from the others and transferred to jail, while relatives were given ZERO information about where the sisters had been taken... lawyers and family members have subsequently been denied access to them.

The operation came days ahead of PTI’s planned Sept. 27 March on Islamabad, as Imran remains imprisoned; his sisters had been prominent public links between him and the outside world...

Once again, the Khan family has suffered OUTRAGEOUS human rights abuses that the international community needs to URGENTLY look at!!!

Today, my aunt, Aleema Khan, has been abducted by police in Lahore. Our family has been told nothing about where she has been taken. Her family and lawyers cannot reach her.

This is the behaviour of a fascist government - abducting people, terrorising families and trampling human rights, due process and the rule of law while pretending to stand for democracy.

First they imprisoned my father. Now they are coming after his family.

We demand immediate access to her for her family and lawyers, full disclosure of where she is being held, and her immediate release.

The world cannot keep looking away from what is happening in Pakistan.

“We have knocked on every door, but no one has listened. I had asked for dialogue only once, and that too was conditional upon commissions to investigate the events of November 26th (2024) and May 9th (2023) being formed. It was Asim Munir who ordered the shooting of unarmed civilians on November 26th. I reiterate there is no longer any room for dialogue because this group has completely hijacked the entire system.

I have instructed Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, Ali Amin Gandapur, and Junaid Akbar to ensure the protest movement runs with full force. The objective of this movement must be the restoration of justice, the supremacy of law, and the protection of the Constitution. If we fail to raise our voices in the streets, this group of oppressors will gradually finish off our parliamentary party as well. I am standing firm; all of you must also stand firm.

Eighty percent of the people of Pakistan stand with me and we are entitled to fight for our rights. I am aware that 90% of the electoral fraud took place between polling and the compilation of results. I campaigned for the implementation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for two years. If EVMs had been used on February 8th (2024), the game would have ended there and then. I still say today: if transparent elections are desired, EVMs must be introduced, and rigging will end once and for all.”
