Hello @AskTSA!
I am traveling from the US to Scotland for a paddling vacation. Is it possible to pack my marine VHF radios (walkie talkies for use on the sea) in my carry on bag?
We had a fresh 13.6" (34.5 cm) of #snow at this morning's 8am measurement and that takes us to within 7" of the winter 1982/1983 total, which is currently second snowiest all-time at CSSL.
This is a look at how all that snow is piled up at the lab:

It’s no secret that total snowfall so far this winter has been starkly different across short distances. The Upper Great Lakes are experiencing a much snowier-than-normal winter, while areas south of the Great Lakes are well below normal on snowfall. #ILwx#INwx
(2/4)…who launched motor life boats from STA Cape Disappointment, the air crews arrived on scene to find the vessel floundering in the surf! The surf made rescue by boat dangerous, so the aircrew decided to lower the rescue swimmer and have the owner enter the water for rescue…
What a 2022 it has been for the Upper Peninsula! We put together some statistics to summarize our 2022 while we continue the NWS mission of providing weather services to protect life, property, and commerce. #906wx#miwx
With the blizzard winding down now, here are some of the reports we've gotten so far. Special thanks goes out to the plow drivers that did a great job during the event! Did you get snow? How much? How big are your drifts? Send us your reports and pictures! #miwx#blizzard2022
The Clyde S. Vanenkevort is waiting for the wind to subside near Little Marais this evening. They sent us this photo, along with a report of wind gusts up to 82mph! Thanks for the photo and the report, stay safe out there!
