Its mission was to use “government efficiency” as cover to fire a bunch of inspector generals and honest civil servants which enabled unprecedented corruption in federal contracts, payoffs to the Trump family, sell offs of public lands and resources etc
This is true and I would add that, while mainstream Dems' corporate entanglements and general fecklessness are major causes, so is the fact that it is infinitely easier to break things (Rs' modus operandi) than it is to build them (Dems' goal, in theory).
The GOP has been immeasurably more successful at advancing their political project. While the Dems haven’t even been able to accomplish basic center-left goals like Medicare expansion, paid family leave and gun control, Republicans have made seismic changes to the American state.
To me "I said" is a direct quote as it was delivered in the moment and "I was like" is a general paraphrasing of what I said that may include my interior emotional response plus the general unspoken vibe of the interaction
We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas
