🗣️Protest a week on: From the edge of bankruptcy to a £2billion stadium in 24 hours
A lot’s been going on with our club over the last week.
- Last Monday there was an interview with Gary Neville and Jim Ratcliffe
- Last Tuesday plans for a new stadium
- Over the weekend another interview dropped
Don’t ever think that protests are not heard. This is not a coincidence. It is a well trodden path by our club.
We also campaigned hard for ticket prices and #StopExploitingLoyalty We warned about dynamic pricing weeks ago. More on ticket prices tomorrow after today’s announcement.
Despite what some think protests are not a silver bullet either they are a war of attrition and a much needed tool.
Now is not a time for sympathy or complacency. It is a time for a steely focus and determination.
It’s worth re-iterating what we stand for and our goals:
👉Ensure we have a responsible ownership model
👉Restore fan culture
👉Protect our heritage
👉Secure the community assets of our clubs and affordability
👉The future of our club is healthy for future generations
The primary goal is to remove the Glazers.
It is important anything done today doesn’t cement their future but sees the end of them. They are done. There is no way back for them.
Anything other than that is an insult to generational fans who have fought to remove them.
👉They have systematically destroyed a community beloved asset. Jim cant say it but we can.
👉They have destroyed a generation of fans. Jim cant say it but we can.
👉They have destroyed a footballing institution. Jim cant say it but we can.
👉They have turned a generation of fans away to form their own club. Jim cant say it but we can.
We will continue with the strategy to help remove Glazer from the foundation and fabric of our club.
We dream of a day whereby we dont have to be financial experts, legal experts, think of owners fleecing our club and just go back to following the team and loving the club.
Never forgive. Never forget.
Expect big things over the next few weeks that everyone can be involved in.
Thanks to everyone who stood shoulder to shoulder with their fellow fans on the protest. From young, old, families, all races and all walks of life.
Together in solidarity in a sea of black.
Here are some pictures and videos from the protests last week.
Thanks also to our photographer @ljcphotography_ for taking part in the protest.
The 1958 🇾🇪

For all we are.
For all we have ever been.
Today we make ourselves heard 🇾🇪

Good to hear this has now been resolved, but it should never have happened in the first place.
Well done to everyone who reached out and played their part.
Football is nothing without fans.
@MufcWonItAll2@ManUtd Hopefully get a plastic ticket sorted now like all season ticket holders use to have, not only for my grandad but for all fans who don’t want or have a mobile device. Thanks all for sharing and shining light on the issue.
@ISLO_MUST That is why we contact them instead of my grandad being the focal point. When we have contacted they said the matter has been resolved as they contacted my grandad knowing fine well he has dementia:
@ISLO_MUST They choose to contact my grandad with dementia ti ask if he is happy about his ticket situation, by the time he gets home and been contacted he has would have forgotten his ticket situation and the club are aware of him having dementia.
@ISLO_MUST My response to that is what is not accurate from my message? All season they have known about this issue, and have been unhelpful. They said they would raise an investigation into safe guarding if we persisted to contact them.
If every fan group came together with a single coordinated plan to protest, #emptyoldtrafford, show our abhorrence of the #GlazersOut, then as a collective we could force them out!
We can achieve anything together, we are United!
The rumoured 20% price hike on the price of a season ticket from next season could well see me & I would imagine a lot more people not renewing … imo we are paying way over the odds for what we are being served up & there’s no sign of things improving either on or off the pitch
When INEOS' stake was ratified in Jan 24, we were 7th in the table. Now we're 13th. Ticket prices for next season will be announced soon, with rumoured increases of c. 20%. The message must be clear: Reverse this decline with what you were given before asking us to give you more.
