@Whiskeylung Guess nobody told him he could sign his players a year before they are RFA lol (Seriously, they had 35 millions in cap space...should have been easy to get done for far less than 18M$)
@fufunzo@EricEngels 2 words that will help him a lot with that: Sponsorship deals...If there's one big advantage Montreal has than most NHL teams don't have, it's that. Oh and he'll be 29 and in his prime when that contract ends.
@Whiskeylung What REALLY blows my mind seeing this contract...is we basically got Demidov AND Hutson COMBINED signed for the same-ish price as Carlsson. I won't be shocked if Celebrini gets 20M$ now😂
@monsterdave11@HabsOnReddit It looked good before that deal but yeah lol (We just need to get players that can play with him)...This is why you sign your players before they hit the market.
@kay_imw I mean, this is twitter lol, even if he got league minimum SOMEONE would find something on it to complain about. Typical bridge deal to me, gives 3 years for Fowler to show what he's made of then evaluate who you're going with by then.
@jaredbook@kay_imw Yep, we heard it all before and it didn't work out at all...They are showing now that they mean it (AND the players are totally buying into it.)
@jayradio@mndamico@MurphysLaw74 That's the funny thing with the "new" way of doing things... we were told that the biggest benefit would be "it's going to be faster"...now it just sucks and is unwatchable AND takes longer....
@Fake_CH_Facts@HabsOnReddit Honestly, probably better off getting in this year, when he's not a Shark anymore (even if only on paper) AND he can sign a 1 day contract and end his career with the Habs...That would make it the perfect year to get in the Hall of Fame.
