@financial_shaw I hear you but this is also hitting some people badly. We’re in the process and only buying as a ‘second home’ because we literally cannot sell our first flat. I know we can recover stamp duty once it’s (hopefully!) sells but this extra stamp duty is gonna stop our sale I think
@MartinSLewis I’m in the process of buying a new family home which is only a ‘second property’ because we literally cannot sell our flat. I know I can get a refund if we sell the flat in 3 years but I don’t have the cash flow to pay the extra stamp duty. Anyone know if I have any options?
@blueingy@TonyMaroulis Same situation, we’re in the process literally, literally about 2 weeks away from exchanging … I cannot see how they can do this overnight!
- Buy the club on debt.
- Not invest a single penny.
- Debt risen to £1B. (The club had 0 debt before Glazers).
- £30m annual dividends taken out the club to pay themselves.
- Let the stadium and facilities rot.
- No investment in facilities, stadium, infrastructure in 18 yrs.
- Employ friends/ bankers to operate the footballing and recruitment side of the club.
- Ring leaders behind European super league idea.
- Turned down £6b from Qatar to stay and rinse more money out of the club.
Today, the Glazers will receive £650M for 12.5% of the club. Over £100m each.
They get to stay in control, profit even more and will not invest a single penny of it back into the club.
Ratcliffe will then do the further stadium investment on top of this, using more of his money.
Glazers have invested £0 into Man Utd, but taken over a billion out, and counting.....
Next level greed, they should of never been allowed to buy a football club.

@MrStephenHowson@Carra23@themichaelowen to make clear how balanced the “pundits” on @ESPNUK are, here’s Frank Leboeuf going off script and saying his hot takes and predictions are shaped by the fact he hates United. The scramble by Kay Murray after to try drag back any credibility is hilarious https://t.co/qnPT0OprSD
The Glazer family have instructed banks to handle the sale of Manchester United.
The American owners of the Premier League club are expected to make this decision public in a statement on Tuesday.
