@BBCr4today Presenter could not resist mentioning that the minister when interviewed did not know the scale of the shortage of midwives in England. It turns out it is 2, 500 out of 372,000 (itself an all time high). This is surely a great achievement?

@katherinedunne So just a shame Katherine that you have only been able to demonstrate one of these benefits for the South Chiswick LTN? But then if you block access for vehicles to an area that will reduce the traffic in that location - duh.

@PauloCampbell Sounds good but sadly you do not mention whether the respondents live or work in the area. Nor do you mention what will happen to the displace traffic. Do the air quality consultants perhaps say that the scheme will simply move the air pollution from one street to another?

@theJeremyVine @PauloCampbell Paul - I am quite surprised that you do not know the answer to this question, you seem like quite a bright bloke (sometimes). The barrier is completely unnecessary. The restrictions that stop access to the area are on Harrington Rd, Burlington Lane and Staveley Rd. Basic stuff

@TonyDowson5 The key issue is how do you enforce these speed limits when they are applied on ALL residential roads as Maskell wants. There will never be enough police to enforce even the 20mph limit and how many speed cameras would you need at £50k a pop? Will undermine respect for the law.

@CBIConservative You really cannot make this hypocrisy up. Cllr Dunne said that there was little that LBH could do to affect compared with everyone else in the borough. Sorting out your own vehicle fleet surely would be a good idea?

@HelloPurgatory @TfL @LBofHounslow Simples - most these ANPR cameras were installed by Hounslow Council and not TfL. They are used to administer LBH's low traffic neighbourhood schemes.

@HounslowCycling This design includes no input from residents. Why is the cycle lobby allowed to dictate how our roads look? What problem are they addressing?How will this improve the notorious Barrowgate Rd (W) junction with Sutton Crt Rd. Pretty pictures but where are the alternative designs?

@TheHalfLizard @AnibalBonaldi @holland_tom Worth noting that under the Labour administrations of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown no new pits were dug or old pits reopened. The coal is still there and no doubt one day when a safe way to mine and burn it is developed King Coal will rise again.
