THIS IS WHAT “JUSTICE” LOOKS LIKE.
Ravindra and Sonali Wakode, waiting outside Azad Maidan after another day of hunger strike for their deceased 20-year-old son, Sahil Wakode. They are permitted to protest only until 6 PM. Then they leave and return the next morning. Their demand is accountability for their son's suicide and caste discrimination at IIT Bombay. The family has demanded action against Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla and IIT Bombay Director Shireesh Kedare.
WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE SINCE THE BEGINNING. Day after day, Sahil's parents sit inside Azad Maidan. They have said that Sahil repeatedly faced caste discrimination at IIT Bombay. An FIR was registered in connection with his death, and the Crime Branch investigation continues. And still, his parents are having to starve themselves to demand accountability.
Ten years after Rohith Vemula's death, India still does not have a national Rohith Vemula Act. THE ROHITH ACT WAS DEMANDED SO ANOTHER ROHITH WOULD NOT HAVE TO DIE. And now another Dalit student is dead, while his parents have clearly said it was due to caste discrimination and sit on hunger strike demanding accountability. WHAT JUSTICE IS ACTUALLY AVAILABLE TO PEOPLE?? Parents and students have to stop eating. A family demanding answers is kept outside the institution where their son died!
AND AZAD MAIDAN IS AN ISOLATED BUBBLE. And that is deliberate. It is controlled dissent. You are technically allowed to protest, but only in the designated space and only during permitted hours. Sahil's family received permission for the hunger strike only until 6 PM each day. What does the right to protest mean when the parents who are demanding accountability are kept physically separated from the institution they are protesting against?
THEIR PROTEST HAS BEEN KEPT AWAY FROM IIT BOMBAY. Sahil's parents say they have been prevented from accessing the campus. They are protesting at Azad Maidan instead. Meanwhile, 8 IIT Bombay students began their own hunger strike inside the institute in solidarity with the family and over demands for institutional accountability. So there are 2 hunger strikes. One outside the institution. One inside it. Politicians come, take pictures, and leave. Journalists come, take a bite, and leave. Very few people are around. Truly around. No agenda.

Won't be surprised if Gyanesh Kumar resigns. Systemic issues and scope for manipulation will remain but no one will suspect 'dissenting' Election Commissioner as the new CEC
The case of Justice Sharma and Gyanesh Kumar proves that we have been forced to care about wrong nepotism (bollywood) and been distracted from the nepotism that actually impacts our everyday lives. film nepos getting more hate than political nepos is absolutely insane
On a day when the Opposition marched to the EC headquarters in Delhi, bye-polls in Bengal have been marred by serious allegations of rigging
Watch our ground report from Rejinagar
MASSIVE Rigging going on in Rejinagar Bypoll.
Locals allege police is stopping voters from reaching the booth in all the minority areas, polling agents are blocked from entering the booths, while BJP workers is casting fake votes in their presence!
While the Opposition MPs are marching for resignation of #GyaneshKumar don't miss this clip from a #Bypoll in Bengal where Police & the Central Force are not allowing common people to cast their vote.
The #IndiaAllianceMarch should talk about this now to show what's happening!
Can't serve notices.
Can't hold virtual hearings.
Can't give a voter a copy of the order deleting them.
And: "Once the appeal is disposed of... it cannot be restored on the portal if the restoration is needed on account of direction of the judicial order or otherwise."
That's not a complaint from an election official on the ground. It's the minutes of a meeting of retired High Court judges, appointed on the Supreme Court's orders to hear 38 lakh SIR appeals in West Bengal, on the portal the Election Commission's IT division (headed by Seema Khanna) built for them.
Minutes dated August 11, sent to the EC and the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court.

The mysterious 16.8 lakh voters added to Uttar Pradesh’s voter rolls.
Law requires ECI to put out details of all Form 6 applications for addition. We found ECI has hidden the identity of 16.8 lakh voters.

रोज़ी को अकेले पुलिस की गाड़ी में बैठाकर कहीं और ले जाया जा रहा है।
RML Hospital में मेडिकल कराने की बात थी, लेकिन वहाँ नहीं ले गए।
आखिर रोज़ी को कहाँ और क्यों ले जाया जा रहा है? दिल्ली पुलिस जवाब दे।

It is now established beyond doubt that Gyanesh Kumar changed Form 6 illegally and unilaterally.
This is just one more proof of him abusing his position to help the BJP.
He and everyone else involved in this criminal assault on our democracy will be held accountable.
