@DeepSailCapital $IDR is an exploration/production gold mining company, but also owns the largest REE land package in the US. Unlikely to be producing in the near-term, but seems obvious to me that they will be part of the long-term solution for the supply of these critical materials
@petrolengg@BrownMarubozu In my experience with international stocks (ordinary and OTC/ADRs), Fidelity doesn’t actually charge that fee despite listing it on the order preview. May be worth a quick call to their international desk to confirm.
@dodgingalpha Appreciate your thoughts on the value. I think there's a lot of asset value there along with the operating business, just hope they are able to realize that value on behalf of all shareholders
@dodgingalpha Makes sense, I see the main risk as timing. Hopefully doesn't end up dead money given their conservative management style, would prefer a stronger desire to unlock value. Also have some scars from previous involvement with Greatview Aseptic
@dodgingalpha How do you view the majority ownership by JM? Any view on how they've historically treated their publicly traded holdings? One concern I've always had as a shareholder is on the governance side as my interests may not be fully aligned with JM
Looking for helpful resources for understanding the uranium enrichment market to dig into $LEU. Any suggestions? @boskovic64@brianlaks @TinInvestor @marketplunger1
@RocksOver Horribly managed, poorly communicated, underperforming. Thankfully sized it small, but still painful to watch the mess unfold given what appeared to be a clear window of opportunity for their product
@phoenixvalue Pets-at-Home (PETS:LN) is a way to play the theme in the UK. Valuation isn't as attractive here as 6 months ago, but they are well-positioned and benefiting from similar trends as US (growing pet ownership, premiumization/humanization of pets, etc.)
@FoolAllTheTime Dumped water all over mine.. turn off ASAP, remove all keys, clean with isopropyl alcohol and let dry for a few days. Pretty good chance of saving it
@chipflare@BillBrewsterTBB Appreciate the discourse despite some disagreement. I do see your point regarding the risks, but with that mindset, alcohol prohibition should be a priority too. Throwing in the towel on alcohol due to cultural acceptance but fighting cannabis doesn't jive with my belief system.
@chipflare@BillBrewsterTBB What about societal impacts beyond health? DUIs, correlation to violent crime/domestic abuse/etc? That's where I don't see a comparison with cannabis. With broader acceptance/openness, hopefully we educate the population to understand the benefits/risks associated, similar to alc
@chipflare@BillBrewsterTBB Agree there. My view is that society would benefit from an updated perspective. Weed was vilified in the '30s primarily due to racial motivations, which endured much longer than alcohol prohibition did. I think history has an outsized impact on cultural opinions of both today
