I'll remind the commentators that while this may be the greatest day in Canadian men's soccer history, the greatest day in Canadian soccer history was the day Christine Sinclair led the women's team to a gold medal in the Olympics.
He raped a girl so brutally that her tampon had to be surgically removed. You have a daughter @jimmyfallon what the fuck is wrong with you. It is insane to me that this man has continued to be platformed and praised despite what he did.
To all the men who continue to kiss his ass, what if that was your daughter, sister, girlfriend, wife, or mother? What would you want to happen to the man who was responsible? How would you feel if the majority of people brushed off what happened and gave the man responsible millions of dollars and fame? Explain to me why he is allowed to live life as a free man after what he did.
The World Lives Here.
Canada is all together different. Truly unique. And so is our relationship to the beautiful game. This is our opening to the 2026 World Cup. Narrated by Kiefer Sutherland. #FIFAWorldCup
🚨 WOW! Erin Brockovich completely destroys the AI data center narrative. She confirms these massive facilities emit a non-stop, 24/7 deafening noise that is literally driving local residents crazy!
She exposes the total lack of environmental oversight. Pure corruption!
KEEP TALKING TO LIBERAL MPS in the GTA! Get their commitments
It's important @MarkJCarney sees the insanity of Doug Ford's move to destroy the Islands and our waterfront
This is a good time to bring up this article for new tennis fans. A harrowing reminder of what victims of abuse endure and the lengths institutions go to in order to protect abusive men like Alexander Zverev.

I know we're all united in hoping someone beats the rat, and I'm furious he's about to win a gs title, but this isn't about the players losing to him, it's about institutions protecting a domestic abuser, this isn’t on jodar or mensik or anyone else losing to him
An incredible bit of sports journalism by The Guardian here. A short summary of the playing style of all 48 World Cup nations and a short profile of all 1248 World Cup players. Bookmark and refer to the resources when watching the obscure matches: https://t.co/tdLGq8en0o
I realize that many people only tune into slams and are not aware of why so many people (including myself) detest zverev. below I’ve included the domestic violence allegations made against him by multiple women, in case anyone was unaware:
Sobering reporting how the Ontario Conservative government put public hospitals into deficit, resulting in cuts while directing millions to for-profit private facilities. Thank you @TinaYazdani
Now is the last chance for Canadians to urge their MPs to reject Bill C-22, the Lawful Access Act. This bill will give government and police easy access to your private internet data.
Find your MP's contact details here: https://t.co/kcVrp6wjsc urge him or her to oppose this surveillance legislation.
@signalapp, @NordVPN, @windscribecom, and @ProtonVPN are among the companies that will withdraw their services from Canada if Bill C-22 passes.
If passed into law, Bill C-22 will allow the government to:
- order companies to develop capacity for organizing and extracting your data for law enforcement review
- order companies to install devices that feed your information to government and law enforcement
- order companies to retain your data for up to one year
issue orders in secret.

Ontario police can apparently use spyware powerful enough to remotely take over smartphones and they’re fighting to keep the details secret from the public.
Meanwhile, Doug Ford weakened Ontario’s Freedom of Information system, making it harder for journalists and citizens to get transparency from government.
So ordinary people are expected to live under increasing surveillance, but when it comes to political power, backroom deals, deleted records, Greenbelt scandals, private meetings, and government accountability, suddenly everything is “confidential.”
If these extraordinary powers exist, where is the oversight? Where is the transparency? And why does accountability seem to apply more to citizens than to politicians?
Ontario doesn’t need to “wait until the next election” to speak up.
People are angry for a reason.
Doug Ford’s Ontario has become a province of scandals, secrecy, privatization, and broken public trust.
The Greenbelt scandal. The Ontario Place/Therme spa deal. The Science Centre fiasco. The private jet controversy. The RCMP investigation.
And now attacks on transparency itself.
This government weakened public access to information and transparency protections, making it harder for journalists and the public to hold politicians accountable. Democracy depends on openness not secrecy.
Meanwhile:
🏥 Public health care is being privatized while ERs close and hallway medicine worsens. 📚 Public education is overcrowded and underfunded. 🏠 Housing is unaffordable while homelessness explodes. 💊 ODSP recipients are being left in poverty. 👩⚕️ Nurses, teachers, and frontline workers are burned out and ignored. 🛣 Developers and insiders keep getting special treatment.
Ontario deserves leadership that puts people before political insiders, developers, and backroom deals.
Enough is enough.
Sign the petition. Share it everywhere. Let Ontario be heard.

BREAKING: Doug Ford’s luxury jet cost taxpayers nearly $200,000 in additional fees.
He told us there were no additional costs for returning it.
He lied.
While Ontarians can’t afford groceries or rent, Ford is living like a rockstar on your dime.
So Justin and Hailey wore “ICE OUT” pins at the Grammys just to turn around and perform privately for Palantir executives the same company linked to ICE database systems 😭
Anything for the bag I guess. Celebrities are really so performative.
Ford going back to court to hide his phone records.
Democracy Watch argues at the Supreme Court that Ford's Bill to hide his phone records violates the public's right to disclosure of government information.
Ford's lawyers will be paid by Ontario taxpayers—so Ford will be using more of our money to hide his corruption.
