🚨Today we honour PC Matthew Blades.

PC Matthew Blades, 37, a Cleveland Police officer, devoted husband and father of two, lost his life in the line of duty on 22 August 2026 when a vehicle travelling the wrong way on the A66 near Middlesbrough collided with his marked armed response car.

A full police ceremonial funeral is being held today in Hartlepool.

Rest in peace. Thank you for your service. ☮️

I was so nervous about the show that I forgot to think about how I got here. A journey that started in Middlesbrough has brought me back to this place I call home.
