Michigan Man of the Year! President Trump repeats one of my personal favorite lies of his, saying he got this nonexistent award "25 years ago" and adding a lie that "the press questioned that and then they found out it was true," which absolutely did not happen.

What did happen: After Trump was widely mocked for telling this lie for years - placing the nonexistent award in the 2010s, not around 2001 - a Republican group in Michigan invented a "Man of the Decade" award for him in 2023.
