@Sterdie_smyth@monroeclmx@bigmissbrownnn Point is, in the grand scheme of things, it’s a negligent part of causes for the climate situation, but it gets the most attention because of trendy hate, makes it fake, and people who are obsessed with looking good always use that as a talking point, it gets irritating
@Sterdie_smyth@monroeclmx@bigmissbrownnn Exaggerated with a side of condescension without meaningful justification, closed loop system, as in the water extracted from whatever source is reused over and over, also the total water volume on earth being more or less the same due to evaporation and the like

This paper answers why can’t you remember being a baby?
For over a century, science said you can't remember being a baby because your infant brain was just too "immature" to record anything. researchers assumed your hard drive was basically turned off for the first two years of life.
But this wild paper from Yale completely rewrites how we understand human memory..
Researchers literally put awake babies (between 4 and 25 months old) into an fMRI scanner to watch their brains process new visual experiences in real-time.
and what they found is mindblowing..
the infant hippocampus isn't turned off at all. it is actively firing, capturing, and encoding episodic memories. they proved that babies with higher hippocampal activity during a new experience formed a highly stable memory trace.
the babies are recording the data. the memory of your first birthday, your first steps, the exact layout of the room you slept in.. it was all successfully saved to your brain.
so why can't you remember it?
the paper concludes that infantile amnesia isn't an "encoding" problem.. it is a "retrieval" problem.
your brain recorded everything perfectly. but as you grew, your brain underwent massive developmental shifts, like explosive neurogenesis (the rapid birth of new neurons), which completely restructured your neural networks. the pathways to access those early files got buried or locked away.
you didn't fail to make the memories.. you just lost the encryption key to open them.
somewhere deep in your hippocampus, the exact first-person memory of being a 1-year-old might still be sitting there. you just can't access the file anymore..
the human brain is terrifyingly beautiful.
@Youraveragejey@arilivfan_@bigmissbrownnn So people shouldn’t use AI and then it goes away, what then? The super hot weather doesn’t happen? Basically blaming a weather phenomena on people doing innocuous things with a tech that uses infrastructure that has always been…fake outrage because it’s trendy to hate AI
@Youraveragejey@arilivfan_@bigmissbrownnn Cows also add to climate change, so what should we be doing about that, how about the data centers for infrastructure, what is a solution that is not “down with AI” chants because we both know that isn’t a solution at all
@arilivfan_@bigmissbrownnn Explain how data center cooling leads to hot weather, mind you climate change has been a worry for more than a decade, way before the ChatGPT’s came into play
@monroeclmx@bigmissbrownnn@Sterdie_smyth Explaining how cooling in a closed loop doesn’t deplete enough water to significantly impact climate to lead to something as substantial as a super El Niño isn’t worth it if you will still not understand, hence the dense
we absolutely should in fact genetically engineer bioluminescent plants & trees and then completely eradicate the affront to God that is LED street lights from the face of the Earth
Just touting talking points on socials, are we supposed to discourage any new technology, tech compounds on itself so the helpful and the unhelpful are intertwined, instead of saying things not to do, tell us things to do to make the planet a better place
@viyancefavour@udoma_akpaku I just feel like Nigeria is too low trust to adopt such a system, the best option for us is to make leadership come with very fast and obvious consequences
@DudeNoNumbers@viyancefavour I’m guessing you will completely overlook the fact that the thugs have taken soldiers hostage, you will probably say that was a false flag and an excuse, if that’s your answer, don’t bother replying
