One year ago I worked on getting a banking licence and started a fintech with my friends.
It's been so hard, and at some point, it felt like we made a wrong decision, but while filling out our @ycombinator application, I realised how far we've come.
We landed on this year’s Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing companies in the country.
Turns out building frontier AI models requires a ton of data.
Throw in the fact Nigerians are the largest, wealthiest, most educated African diaspora in the US, and you wonder why Nigeria doesn't have an active Congressional Caucus.
Introducing Claude Tag, a new way for teams to work with Claude.

5,000+ merchants now use @finstoreafrica to power their business.
And we launched just one month ago.
When we started Finstore on April 1st, the vision was simple: help African businesses sell better, scale faster, and compete globally.
And this is only the beginning.
Thank you to every merchant building with us.
Thank you for believing in the vision.
5,000+ merchants in one month.
Still counting.
5,000+ merchants now use @finstoreafrica to power their business.
And we launched just one month ago.
When we started Finstore on April 1st, the vision was simple: help African businesses sell better, scale faster, and compete globally.
We believe access to better infrastructure and better financing can unlock the next generation of African businesses.
This is bigger than eCommerce for us.
We want to see African brands compete globally. We want the world to hear your story. We want African businesses to scale without limits.
With @fintavapay powering the financial infrastructure underneath, businesses can accept payments seamlessly and manage commerce operations better.
And through @LomaBank , businesses can access growth funding and credit opportunities based on their transaction activity.
One thing became obvious to us very early: African businesses already have the hustle. They just lack the infrastructure and access to credit.
That is the problem we are solving.
With Finstore Africa, merchants get access to modern eCommerce infrastructure built for African businesses from day one.
Today, over 5,000 merchants are actively transacting on the platform and the growth keeps accelerating.
This means a lot to us because behind every transaction is a real business owner trying to build something bigger.
@finstoreafrica powers your storefront, while @fintavapay powers the payment rails, and both give you a complete system to sell and get paid seamlessly.

@SemudaraAbayomi I think Figma slept on the opportunity of building that first and give designer ability to be able to prompt design to live. Today software programming has changed with Prompt and this is expected to happen to Ui development as well, you just have to move fast or be moved out.
