क्या इंदौर से राजकोट के लिए बस से यात्रा के दौरान गुजरात पुलिस द्वारा रात 03:00 बजे बस रुकवा कर यात्रियों का सामान चेकिंग के दौरान अगर किसी यात्री के बैग से शराब की 1 छोटी बोतल मिल जाती है जो उज्जैन के काल भैरव मंदिर का प्रसाद हो तो पुलिस उस यात्री को कितना परेशान कर सकती है? और डरा धमका के जुर्मना के नाम पर 50000-60000 रुपये ले सकती है? क्या ये करना सही है?

माननीय गुजरात पुलिस,

मैं महाकालेश्वर दर्शन के लिए उज्जैन की यात्रा पर गया था, और उसके बाद काल भैरव मंदिर भी गया। वहां की रिवाजों के अनुसार मैंने एक छोटी शराब की बोतल (मूल्य ₹180/-) भगवान को चढ़ाई, जैसा कि बाकी लोग भी कर रहे थे। पुजारी ने पूजा के बाद वह बोतल मुझे वापस दे दी, जिसे मैंने प्रसाद के रूप में अपने बैग में रख लिया। अगले दिन मैं ओंकारेश्वर मंदिर गया और फिर इंदौर आया। इंदौर से मैंने राहुल ट्रेवल्स की बस से राजकोट जाने का टिकट लिया था, जो 30-09-2024 की तारीख का था।

शाम 7:45 बजे के करीब मैं बस में सवार हुआ, और बस 8:30 बजे के करीब रवाना हुई। पिछले 4-5 दिनों से लगातार यात्रा करने के कारण मैं बहुत थका हुआ था और गहरी नींद में सो गया। लेकिन रात 3 बजे के करीब, अहमदाबाद से लगभग 150 किमी पहले, बस को रोक दिया गया और कुछ पुलिसकर्मी बस में सवार होकर सभी यात्रियों के सामान की जांच करने लगे। एक पुलिसकर्मी ने मुझे जगाया और मेरा बैग खोलने के लिए कहा। मुझे किसी भी समस्या का अंदाजा नहीं था, इसलिए मैंने सामान्य रूप से बैग खोल दिया। जांच के दौरान उन्हें शराब की वह छोटी बोतल मिली, जो मैंने काल भैरव मंदिर में चढ़ाई थी। उन्होंने मुझसे इसके बारे में पूछा, तो मैंने उन्हें बताया कि मैं ज्योतिर्लिंग यात्रा पर हूँ और यह बोतल काल भैरव मंदिर में चढ़ाई गई थी, जिसे मैं प्रसाद के रूप में साथ ले जा रहा हूँ।

उसके बाद, पुलिसकर्मी ने मेरे बैग को बहुत ध्यान से जांचा, और फिर मुझे बस से नीचे उतरने के लिए कहा। जब मैंने कारण पूछा, तो उन्होंने कहा कि आगे "साहब" बताएंगे। मैं डर गया और बस से नीचे उतर गया। वहाँ अंधेरा था, सड़क सुनसान थी और कोई स्ट्रीट लाइट भी नहीं थी। फिर वे मुझे एक छोटी सी केबिन में ले गए जहाँ दो और पुलिसकर्मी आ गए, जिनके यूनिफॉर्म पर न तो नाम की पट्टी थी और न ही कोई स्टार। उन्होंने बस चालक से कहा कि वह बस लेकर चला जाए, और जब मैंने उनसे कहा कि मैं पर्यटक हूँ और इस जगह के बारे में कुछ नहीं जानता, तो भी उन्होंने मेरी बात नहीं मानी।

फिर उन्होंने मुझसे कई सवाल पूछे, मेरी फोटो ली, जिसमें मैं शराब की बोतल पकड़े था, और मुझे धमकाने लगे कि अब मुझे जेल हो जाएगी और मेरी ज़िंदगी बर्बाद हो जाएगी। मैं पहले से ही एंग्जायटी का मरीज हूँ, इसलिए मैं बहुत ज्यादा घबरा गया था। उन्होंने मेरे दोनों मोबाइल फोन ले लिए, पासवर्ड पूछे और फोन की गैलरी व अन्य ऐप्स चेक करने लगे। फिर उन्होंने एक कागज पर कुछ लिखा और मुझसे उस पर साइन करने को कहा। जब मैंने पूछा कि यह क्या है, तो उन्होंने गालियाँ दीं।

मैंने उनसे बार-बार माफी मांगी और कहा कि अगर मुझे पता होता कि यहाँ यह मना है, तो मैं इसे वहीं छोड़ देता, क्योंकि इसका मेरे लिए कोई खास महत्व नहीं था। फिर उन्होंने मुझे धमकाया कि या तो मैं "जुर्माना" भरूँ या पुलिस स्टेशन चलूँ। डर और घबराहट के कारण मैंने कहा कि मेरे बैग में जो पैसे हैं, वे ले लें। मेरे पास करीब 30,000 रुपये थे, लेकिन उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें 80,000 रुपये चाहिए। जब मैंने कहा कि मेरे पास केवल 30,000 ही हैं, तो उन्होंने ATM से पैसे निकालने के लिए कहा। मैंने अपना सारा पैसा निकाल दिया, और जब मेरे खाते में सिर्फ ₹95/- बचे, तो उन्होंने मेरे भाई से पैसे मंगवाने को कहा। मैं मजबूरी में अपने भाई को फोन करके 15,000 रुपये मंगवाया और वो भी निकाल कर उन्हें दे दिए।

इसके बाद उन्होंने मुझे एक और बस में बिठा दिया, जो अहमदाबाद जा रही थी। बस के ड्राइवर और कंडक्टर ने भी मुझसे सवाल-जवाब किए और ताने मारे। जैसे ही मैं अहमदाबाद पहुँचा, मैं डर के मारे बस से उतरकर एक होटल चला गया और अपने भाई व दोस्तों को यह सब बताया। वे भी डर गए और मुझे तुरंत घर लौटने की सलाह दी। मैंने तुरंत फ्लाइट बुक की और अगले दिन रायपुर लौट आया।

अब मैं आपसे जानना चाहता हूँ कि क्या मैं सच में दोषी था? क्या यह तरीका सही है किसी पर्यटक के साथ व्यवहार करने का? इस घटना के बाद मैं अपने ही देश में यात्रा करते हुए असुरक्षित महसूस कर रहा हूँ।

Respected Gujarat Police,
I went on a trip to ujjain for Mahakaleshwar darshan continuing which I went to kaal bhairav temple in ujjain, and as a rituals I also offered a small bottle of alcohol of Rs 180/- just like everyone to which the pandit after offering the alcohol to God returned me back and since it was a form of Prasad I took it back with me and kept inside my bag and the next day I went to omkareshwar temple by a cab which in return left me on Indore. From Indore I have reservation for Rajkot from Rahul travels bus in date 30-09-2024 through an travel agent. As I boarded on the the bus for Rajkot at arround 07:45 pm which left the bus garage at arround 8:30 pm, since I was very tired due to continuous 4-5 days journey I had a very sound sleep on my bus. But suddenly I experienced a distressing situation during the journey at arround 03:00 am in the morning of 01-10-2024 at approx 150 Km before Ahmedabad bus was stopped for checking and some police mens were on boarded to bus for checking everyone's luggage. One of the police men waked me up from sleep and asked me to open my bag and since I was unknown from further consequences I normally opened my bag for checking to which he found the small bottle of alcohol, he asked me what is it to which I answered that i am in an trip to jyotirlinga and i am coming from ujjain and this bottle was offered in kaal bhairav temple, and as a form of Prasad I am taking it further in the trip. After that the police men was checking my bag very sincerely and deeply by putting his hand through each and every corner of my bag and then asked me to get down from the bus. I asked the reason to which he answered sir will tell you further you just get down with all your belongings. I was scared and then I stepped down from the bus and then he took me to 1 cabin. The road was empty and dark, there where no street lights even. It was just a very empty and deadly road. Inside the cabin 2 another policemen came, none of them were having Name batches in there uniform neither any Star was there on the dress. They asked the bus driver to take and leave with the bus from here, to which I said that sir I am a tourist and i don't know anything about this place, please let me go i have not done anything. I even asked the bus driver that pls wait for me I don't know anything about this place, I am coming here for the first time, but he denied saying that he can't wait for 1 passenger and then he left with the bus. Then The police men asked me several questions and captured a picture of mine with that alcohol bottle on my hand on there cell phone and then kept it back with them and started to threaten me by saying that now you are in danger, whole of your life will be in jail, get a good lawyer so that he can provide you bail from the court orelse you will remain forever here only. Since I am an anxiety patient I was severely traumatized and scared to death by hearing all of their threatening. They took both of my cellphone and asked the passwords and started to check the gallery of my phone and other apps on my phone and another police men wrote something on a paper and asked me to sign in the last, to which when I asked what is it he started to use vulgar language. Both of them were taking in their native language and threatening me by saying you have committed a crime. I very politely answer them that it's is just a prasad and if I was aware of the fact that it's not allowed here, I would have left it in that place itself since it's of no use for me but since I buyed it by paying the money so I thought that I would give it to someone on my home place. But they didn't listened to me and just kept threatening me and saying vulgar words. After that they asked me to take all my belongings and said now we'll take you to police station by hearing which I was damn scared. I asked for forgiveness many a times by joining my hands but it was of no use at all. They asked me to keep all my belongings in the back of their tata sumo and asked me to sit in the front seat next to driver seat, and one police men sat in the back seat who was continuously checking each and everything on my cellphones as he was knowing my passwords of both the phones. There was no police equipment on the vehicle neither POLICE was written on any part of the vehicle. I was again scared that if they are really police or not. But then I thought since they were checking everyone's luggage they might be police only. I was begging for forgiveness again and again but they were not ready to listen anything and started to drive the vehicle in a very empty road with even no street lights. It was Thasra district. They were roaming here and there, snatched my hairs , hit my head from their hand and then asked me that what to do. Should we take you to police station or will you pay the penalty. Since I am an anxiety patient I was very much scared, my body was shivering, so so I said that please take all of my money from the bag but please let me go from here, to which they asked how much money is there. I said approx 30000 would be there, then they said they want 80000 or else we'll take you to jail. I pleaded them that I only have this much money with me they again threatened that you will be in danger, we'll hit you by taking all of your clothes out then you will come to know. I was very much scared . I requested them to please don't do anything to me as I am the only bread earner of my family. But they didn't cared about anything, they said that they only care about their money. They said withdraw money from atm to which I agreed instantly as I received salary the samne day in 30-09-2024 of approx 28000. Then they stopped the vehicle near SBI ATM in Thasra and asked me to withdraw money, after withdrawaing all of my account money, I showed him the balance in my mobile banking app of SBI which showed balance of approx 95/- Rs only. But again since the money was not as per their demand they asked me to do anything call anyone and ask for money. Then at arround 03:20 am I called my brother who lives in Delhi and i asked him that I have lost my bag in the journey, and I need 15000 Rs as I am in police station for filing complaint, to which he immediately transferred me the amount, than again I went to atm for withdrawing the money, and after 2 successful withdrawals I was not able to withdraw money because from SBI ATM we can only withdraw 40000 in a day. I told them that limit is exceeded so I only have this much money. My hand was shivering. They took all the 500 Rs notes and returned me 100 Rs notes it was approx 50000-60000 or even more and threatened me that if I'll tell about this incident to anyone they will bring me back to Gujarat from my home place and put me in jail and my job will be lost for ever and I'll be in very danger. To which I replied that Yes I'll not tell this to anyone please let me go now. Then one police men called someone on the site from where they picked me I guess and asked that if any bus is coming in this way. Since they were not talking in hindi I was only able to understand some parts of there sentences. Then they came to took the vehicle to bridge and stopped the vehicle there and showed the mobile light to the bus which was going to Ahmedabad. It was of jaganath travels. They told me that this bus will take you to Ahmedabad then you can take another bus to Rajkot from there and gave some money to conductor of the bus, and in return the driver of business said to police men that sir diwali festival is coming, my bonus is due or something like that, in marwari or Rajasthani or gujrati language. And then the bus left from there and now the bus conductor and driver was harrassing me by asking what have you done, we know everything what was with you tell us, was it alcohol or weed to which I replied i lost my bag so I went to file a complaint to which they said that we are not fools tell us. After several time of there asking I told that a small bottle of alcohol was there since I came from kaal bhairav temple. They they asked how much money you paid to police men , to which I answered I didn't paid anything,then they said that you are lying we can call and ask the police men and ask them. So I sat quietly since I was very much frightened. The conductor took both of my bag packs and kept it in the back seat of driver and asked me to sleep on the very last sleeper of bus, to which I replied that I feel vomit in the last sleeper, I cannot go there, to which the driver said to conductor that he will not go without his bags in his native language, I understood since it was some common words. For the next 150-160 kms I was awake and sat in the cabin in conductor seat till I reached Ahmedabad. Since I was frightened from those bus driver and conductor as soon as I saw a little crowded place I asked bus driver to stop the bus, I'll step down from here as I'll take a hotel. Then by taking a auto I went to 1 hotel and booked a room and called my brother and other friends and told about this incident to which they were also very scared since I was alone. They asked me to take the next flight and come back home and stop the trip there. I was also broke by this incident so I booked the flight to Raipur, chhattisgarh of 02:15 pm and left for Ahmedabad airport and then came back to my home. Now please tell what they did was correct or not ? If not than what action are you going to take against them? Is this the way to be behaved with a tourist? The one's who are for our protection are threatening us by misusing their powers- POLICE. By this incident i feel very unsafe to travel in my own country INDIA. Please take necessary action asap.

both the buses were equiped with CCTV cameras and the second bus (jaganath travels) on which i boarded for ahmedabad, both the conductor and driver knows those police mens, as the driver was talking about some diwali bonus as diwali is coming in their native language and the police men gave some money to conductor. so those police mens can be traced by these means. also i have the bus tickets of rahul travels and the atm withdrawls info of arround 03:15 am in the early morning of Thasa place abount 150-160 Km before ahemdabad.
